How many folks are still playing/running 3e?

We're still playing - just started a new 3.5 campaign set in Ptolus; I hope to use Dungeon A Day in it, soon.

Or maybe not, as the PCs wander.

We use core SRD, plus a few house rules, and the PHII, Spell Compendium and Magic Item compendium, but no other splatbooks.

Bi-weekly Pathfinder game DM & 6 players. Pathfinder core rules only (currently BETA).

I will be starting a Pathfinder weekly game in early October. Core rules only (Final)

(great stuff)
Yep, that's some great stuff. :D Mongoose's Conan RPG is simply awesome.

I'm (still, though irregularly) running one heavily modified 3e campaign, with material from Paizo, EN World, Bastion Press, my own strange brain. . . and more! I also play (a homebrew Fighter) in another, that being considerably modified as well. Otherwise, it's other (non-D&D) systems right this moment.

Third party material and house rules are taken to be very much the order of the day - as ever it was, I might add - in the local scene (or at least, those parts of it that I'm in, or even aware of at all).

FWIW, 4e's not even a blip on the radar, from my own groups through to the various ones I hear about. *shrug* Oh well. :p

It's heartwarming to hear about so many DMs and players here, still using the brilliant - if not, of course, perfect - system that 3e continues to be (funny that, how it actually didn't suddenly get worse when that might've been convenient). . . and, so many excellent 3pp products. After all, that's one of the (*very*) strong points of 3e, that staggering array of options, many of them so very 'niche' it's unlikely such a thing will come about again. . .

Except maybe in the Pathfinder age. We'll see. :)

I haven't played in a regular game in a few years (all GenCon/Gameday games for me). I do plan to start a Pathfinder game this fall, and will start with the core rules + Pathfinderized version of the psion. I'm sure I'll add other stuff as time goes on, but I want to drive the car while it still has that new-car smell, IYKWIM.

1/2 way through Shackled City using 3.5. Any/all books allowed w/ DM approval (I rarely say no).

I think for Age of Worms, I'll go Pathfinder.

I'm DMing a 3.5e group with some rules modifications. Based on some cherry picked races, but most are out of Manual of the Planes.
I use any monster book I feel is appropriate.
Most adventures are slightly modded from Dungeon.
Players are permitted Spell Compendium, Planar Handbook, Manual of the Planes and Complete books with my permission.

Honestly, no one that I know has stuck with 3.5 at this point, largely because it's been unsupported by the publisher for almost two years. I do know some folks who switched their game over to True20, but in print and still getting official support are big deals.

I strongly suspect that some of them will move back to Pathfinder once it comes out, however, so that should count.

I am DMing one 3.5 game with some of the "Complete" books and I play in another 3.5 game. I am also playing in a group that is currently running Shadowrun. When we are done with Shadowrun, we will likely go back to 3.5 in that group as well.

Occasionally I still do one-shot evening games using the 3.5E rules. Most of them are just a series of dungeon crawls with a well defined end goal.

We generally set aside one weekend per month (two 12 hour days) to play two 3e games. We're doing shackled city (one dm) and age of worms (another dm).

Also, I dm a 3.5 Midnight game via Maptools and Skype between every two weeks and once a month.
