DERNIT! I tried to change the poll to 5 options but it won't let me, so no "over 100" option, if you have played that much vote 100 and explain in thread, would you kindly.

And I've played KotS in 3, 10 hour sessions at FLGS and have DMed 4, 5 hour sessions of it at my house. 50 in total.

4 sessions of KotSF with pregens = 20 or so hours
1 game day session = 4 hours
1st session of my own campaign with "real" characters = 4 hours

So about 28 hours so far.

And perhaps about 12 or so hours of intense adventure making for my campaign.

So far, loved every minute of it.

The 4e rules as published? about 48 hours (judged Escape from Sembia for an entire convention + 4e release party + D&D worldwide game day).

Including 4e playtests? There's no option for more than 100 hours...

What about pre-4e games? Y'know... where 4e rules were used and anything new was added into the mix as released until the pdfs were leaked and then the books were released and bought? Because by my estimation that'd be about... 30 or so hours for me w/ a LGS game of the DDXP module added into the mix.

If the pre-4e release games w/out pdfs do not count, then maybe only 12 or so hours (we had a monster of an 8 hour session for the 'finale', and the LGS game was about 4 hours).

(I picked up a phb and the giftset so our group has the most phb-power possible. I dunno' about everyone else, but it always felt like one (and sometimes two) phbs were far too few. I wonder, is there a poll for 'downloaded the pdfs, but bought the books anyway?' somewhere.)

None.

I'm not a 4E "hayta" but at the same time I haven't been rushing out to try the new edition. My FLGS had a game day on Saturday (which was apparently quite well attended) but I had lacrosse so I couldn't attend. If I didn't have anything on I probably would have gone along and played (or ran) a game.

Playtesting, DDXP, demoing, running KotS, and playing a couple of one-shots: I don't think I've topped 100 hours, but definitely over 50.

DMing 7 sessions of Shadowfell 4-6 hrs each, Playing the D&D Game Day adventure, read players handbook, reading DMG and MM, we are using built characters and are now up at levels 3 and 4.

This is the very best version of D&D yet, and I've played since the blue OD&D box set.
