I got knee surgery yesterday.

I'm a little doped right now on medication, so I won't be around much. But yes, I got knee surgery. They replaced my torn ACL with one from a cadaver. In a few weeks I'll be able to walk again, and hopefully by Christmas I'll be as good as new.

I have never before felt dizzy while sitting at a computer. Weird.

Ahh, knee surgery! A friend of mine has had that....and keeps having that. I'm going to have to start calling her Jim lad.

Hope the drugs do you good ;) oh and that you recover!

If there is anything about the healing that is uncomfortable, there is a discharge that was not mentioned or a smell check with the doctor immediately. A friend had that kind of cadaver piece used and it had to be reopened and cleaned out. It may have a high chance of success but that means there is a low chance of lack of success. Do not accept 'Let give it time" if it seems wrong to you. I know you are not shy so you will likely be fine in bringing up any issue you encounter. If you have a digital camera take pictures as bandages are changed to follow the progress of the wound.

Best of luck with it.

This sounds like what I had. Good luck with the recovery . . . In my case surgery was two years after injury, but don't get discouraged if things don't heal as quickly as you'd like.

Also, make sure you get up and move around every day. I spent most of the first two weeks sitting on my butt, getting up only to pee, and that was EXTREMELY detrimental, even though it felt good at the time. :D
