What happened to Alias---this is the worst crap on TV until crap is actually shown on TV, the networks cancel shows like Firefly, John Doe, Strange Luck...but this is on, please let it be a one shot....

Oh, well. Have to see it for myself, but for the life of me, I can never understand the mainstream audience's fascination with variety shows, even that Carol Burnett show (okay, I do find that Tim Conway very funny) or Sonny & Cher (when it was okay to question their relationship/marriage) or Donny & Marie (when it was okay to question their sibling relationship).

My wife and I thought it was a refreshing, light-hearted homage to all those variety shows that millions of Americans grew up with.
It was done very well. They used some of the same gags, updated a bit, and have tons of shows to recycle bits from.

I understand that people may want to watch comedy and musicals, heck I watch movies like that without a wife, I like movies etc....I understood the fact it was paying homage to the past (I am 36), I just found them very difficult to watch, it was if I could watch them read the words off of the cue cards, I am, glad you enjoyed it but please do not underestimate my understanding of people.
