If you have an attack dog, you tell it to attack once, you don't have to continue to tell it to attack
Ok but this is also a game and you have to consider game balance when designing these things. It’s not a hard concept to understand. Giving one player two characters becomes a problem at a lot of tables.

Either make it a reasonable option or come up with something else. But this is off topic, I just think it's a poorly implemented option. At least in the 2014 version.

I’m not talking 2014. I’m talking 2024. Where it still requires you to make a command but the command takes a BA, not an Action.

How does Animate Dead work now?

Is it still the same where you can create 13 Skeletons or Zombies with a 9th level slot? Or is it a spell with a single statblock creature like a bunch of the Summon spells? Has it being replaced by Summon Undead? Or has it become more like the Conjure spells that changed to movable effects?

If i am a Eldritch Knight/ Valor Bard / sorcerer (/ warlock)

Can I replace my first attack with a cantrip
Then replace my second attack with a cantrip.

Action Surge and replace 2 more attacks with 2 cantrips.

And have Haste to use another attack to cast a cantrip.

And finally quicken cast a cantrip?

For a total of 24 Eldritch Blasts?

It works like it did in the 2014 book as far as I can tell. You create a Skeleton or Zombie with it, can have up to 4 with the base spell, and get up to 2 more each upcast.
