I love the Internet

Yep all from the interweeb.

The same place where you can get Brazilian porno broadcast out of the former Soviet Union!

The same place where you can find historical maps, unabridged dictionaries, thesaurus, encyclopedias, free literature, communities, retail stores that sell everything you could ever want, weather reports, directions to your job interview, buyers for your old socks, business opportunities, mass communication via the published word (and some limited video), movie reviews, previews, niche industry news, comedy, easy and quick communication, information on history, geography, philosophy-- hell you can even get a degree from an accredited college on-line.

I was thinking a little while ago about how limited and different my life would be if it wasn't for the net.

Yeah, I love it too.

It was pretty unexpected, too. How many people in the 80s could foresee the 'net as it is now? I wonder what it'll be in twenty more years.

But if it's from The former Soviet union, doesn't it watch you? :uhoh:

It may be nonpolitical, but if you're going to discuss robots, you should go to the Sci-fi forum. ;)

I'm now listening to vocal carnatic music..... Heh, so much music I'm not terribly familiar with, so little time... oh wait, I have a lot of time to listen... even better!

Indeed. I think War Games is the only speculative sci-fi/near future thing I've seen from the 80s that came close to guessing at what was just around the corner.
