I'd like to create a 3.5 version of the Planar Mancatcher from Planescapes In the Cage, A Guide to Sigil pg 19.
I just don't know how to figure out the value of the item.
It works just like the mancatcher (20gp exotic weapon) from Complete Warrior pg 154.
I guess the appropriate magic property would be for it to have Dimensional Anchor cast whenever it grapples a person. Basically, the weapon is used to keep people from teleporting away after the weapon grapples them.
It would have an unlimited duration as long as it's grappling and it wouldn't require a ranged touch attack since it's a melee grappling weapon. I don't know how this would affect the weapon's pricing.
Another feature it has is to deal damage if the grappled person tries to teleport. I also don't have any idea how this affects the pricing.
