Has anyone mentioned Alternity yet? I've got a player who bought into it big time when it came out in the 90's and would love to see it return, and I doubt WotC's going to do it any time soon. What are the chances they'd license it out to someone who would make it compatible with 4e rules?

I had been thinking this was a possibility as well. An interesting thought.

By the by - Mass Effect plays pretty well with Star Wars Saga Edition rules. We play a Mass Effect campaign on alternate Thursdays with SWSE.

Totally in the dark what it could be, but I'd imagine that could be a good guess.

None of the above. I can tell you it's based on a novel. I can't announce anything for definite until the contract is signed, though (which I hope will happen in the next few days).

Whatever it turns out to be, to have ENPublishing ink a deal on developing a licensed property is a tremendous coup. That's one impressive step for the guy who started some dinky little world-building fansite eleven years ago.

I can't wait to find out what it is.
