I'm pretty sure its before. I haven't actually played KotOR, but I do know the general storyline, etc.

WHAT!?!?!? Here I thought you where a Star Wars fan... but now I know your dark and horrible secert.

I'll have a thread up in an hour or so...depending :)

Cool! :D Oh and to answer my own question... Starwars.com has a database of various species and/or characters if you’re looking at a character but don't know the race...

(I'm looking just in case I see something cooler than a Gungan. ;) )

Yea KoToR is a very cool game. I would love to play in this but as I said before I don't have any of the books... is that going to be a problem?

Even Jedi have their limits...

Well, I don't HAVE an XBox, and I refuse to get it for PC...as I'd rather get it on XBox, which I plan to get a hold of...eventually. One day. Maybe. I guess I'd be MORE rabid to get it if they had set the game around the Great Sith War and such(where this game will be close to)

Well, I can try to find a fairly comprehensive list on the RPG side of things. Its possible that SWRPGNetwork has something like that, though I haven't been there in a while. If there isn't, I can list some of the more prevalent ones in the time period.

(Luckily, Gungans are rarely ever Jedi :p)

Well, do you have the Core Book(revised, preferably)? You can still build a good Jedi with just the Core Book, but if you don't even have that...well, Star Wars isn't Open Game content so there's no SRD, etc

Unfortunately I don't have any of the books... so I guess I will bow out and just follow along like a stalker...

Ahhhh but where does the GMs limits lie? ;)

Anyhow, since we've been down this road before and you know just how idle of a threat me running a Gungan is, and the fact that none of the other players are threatening me yet I figured I would break down and be honest...

I was eying playing a witch from Dathomir... I figured she would start out as a force adept before moving onto a Jedi class, figuring Jedi Guardian, but theirs a few things to address... Why did she leave Dathomir to become a Jedi, and does AMG have issues with a witch?

Please note, that while I have discovered they've been in more books besides the Courtship of Prince Leia I have not read any of them... (So I will probably make a mistake or two in representation of her.)

Well I expect a new wave or price drops in the game systems around Christmas time... I'm sure you know their will soon be a sequel to it, though it's set five years after the first game. :)

and back to the witch, I know that Dathomir is talked about in the Other Rim book, one that I don't have but will be ordering soon, but AMG do you have it and does it have alot of information on the witches or is it rather weak in this area? Also does it have any mechanical information for them? (PrCs, feats, etc.)

The two books I DON'T have a Geonosis and the Outer Rim Worlds and Galactic Campaign Setting...just haven't had a chance to pick either up, and I'm still a bit low on cash. I don't know what kind of info it has, as the realease of that book was kind of a silent one almost...

Thing is, though, that around the time of this game, Dathomir isn't even a charted planet(from what I can remember). That doesn't mean you can't play a witch from ANOTHER place though(lots of traditions like that).

I've said it a couple times before, but this time I mean it. I'll make a post with more detailed information on things tonight. However, I'm off to see Hero...so I'll have to make the post a bit later. But I WILL post it. I promise. :)

I found some nice information on it at Starwars.com... I'm in the process of ordering it right now so I will let you know at the end of the week. :)

I guess that would work but I rather like the idea of being able to use the book I'm about to order... In all honesty if even one of your vast knowledge doesn't remember when it was found what's the harm in using it? :)

Don't make me use my Jedi Gungan concept... ;)

I am interested in getting in on a cool Jedi game like this, and I have a few of the d20 Star Wars books, though not Power of the Jedi alas. I do however own the Dark Side Handbook, which while it is first ed d20, is very good. I can highly recommend the Galactic Campaign Guide by the way - it is very well done.

As for a concept, hmm... maybe I should look through the Dark Side book and come up with an interesting angle there. This is Old Republic era, during the old, old days, right?

I didn't notice this thread pop up. But given that two pbp games I was in have apparently died (no posts since April) and the other two have slowed down a lot lately, and a KotOR-era Star Wars game (if it's not in the movies, KotOR, or the SW d20 revised core rulebook, I haven't seen it; any character I built would be core rulebook only at least to start with) sounds like a lot of fun, are you still taking new player applications?
