I6: Ravenloft (adapted to 3.x) - OOC Thread - CALLING MY PLAYERS!

Rhun -- who is the sun god in your homebrew? I was wanting to play a cleric who would focus on the domains of sun and healing, who at 7th lvl would venture into the Radiant Servant of Pelor PrC, but wanted to know if you would have a comparable replacement for Pelor in your pantheon.

Aditi (Sun Goddess)
Alignment: Neutral Good
Greater Power
Portflio: Sun, light, summer
Domains: Fire, Glory, Good, Healing, Sun
Preferred Weapon: Scimitar

Aditi is also the formal name of the sun in my campaign world, though it is simply called the sun in common use.

(Your PC will probably wreak havoc on all of the undead baddies, but that's what the power of the sun is for, right?)

What about your god of Storms? Somebody that fills the niche of Procan/Zeus since I'm leaning towards a Stormlord. Also since we are starting at level 6 I could have started the first level of my PrC but it requires that I be struck by lightening & survived. Can we assume that this has been done or will it have to be done in game?

So I think we stand as:

Kinem-Duskblade
Renau1g-Sarryx- Dragonfire Adept
Fenris-leaning towards Psychic Warrior
Queenie-Initial interest in cleric
Strahd-Tiefling Evoker
Jemal-James-swashbuckler/two weapon AC specialist
S@squ@tch - Cleric of Aditi? (Going into Radiant Servant of Aditi)
Nebten-Human war cleric/Stormlord (i think)

Sound right? How balanced does this look?

There are a few that may fit the bill for this, depending on the alignment you are looking for:

Bahari (God of Ocean & Seas)
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Lesser Power
Portflio: Ocean, seas, sailing
Domains: Ocean, water, weather
Preferred Weapon: Trident

Kathia (Air Goddess)
Alingment: Chaotic Neutral
Intermediate Goddess
Portfolio: Air, wind, sky
Domains: Air, sky, storm, weather
Preferred Weapon: Spear

Lalok the Destroyer
Alingment: Chaotic Evil
Lesser Power
Portfolio: Destruction, storms, chaos
Domains: Chaos, destruction, storm
Preferred Weapon: Heavy Flail

Shakak (of the Icy Heart)
Alingment: Neutral Evil
Lesser Power
Portfolio: Winter, cold, ice, snow
Domains: Cold, storm, weather
Favored Weapon: Morningstar

And yes, we can assume your PC was struck by lightning and survived. Just make up how, and incorporate it into your background.

Looks alright. If Queenie plays a cleric, you'll be a little overloaded on divine casters...but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I don't really see any skill-monkey types, but I'm not really one to force the issue if nobody wants to play one.

I know my PC can cover off some of the social skills and there's an invocation I can switch out as we finalize that gives bonuses to social skills...

Any thoughts on the Dragonfire Adept Rhun? Does it work, if you're not cool with it, I can re-work something else. I'm always a fan of skill-monkeys (see most of my other PC's ;))

I thought I approved it already:

It seems like a pretty strong PC class, but not overpowered. My one caution would be this: Much of Ravenloft happens within the confines of the castle, and it may limit how often you can employ your breath weapon. Or at least, you'll have to take the other PC's positions into account.

So, consider this approved. However (since I have never seen one in play), if it proves too powerful during the game, we may need to make some adjustments. You okay with that?
