D&D 5E [IC] Creamsteak's Princes of Elemental Evil

Carradoc smiles, and pointing beyond the water witch says "Nighty-night". If the spell has the desired effect, he approaches her once she collapses.

OOC: I'm hoping that the Sleep spell will have effect, and that she has fewer than [roll0] hit points at this time. I'm not boosting it using a level-2 slot, because I want to keep the remaining slot in case she jumps in the water. The spell says 20' form a point. I'm assuming that the point works as a radius on a plane (rather than a sphere), and so I am picking a point just beyond her, so that she's the only person caught in the spell. If it's like a sphere, probably aiming above her is the right choice (we've come down a long way, right?). But the hope is to catch only her.

Aridha casts another spell, causing tendrils to sprout from the wood of the ship, worm through the sand and dirt of the shore...even vines of kelp weave out of the sea. They wave and writhe, and attempt to hold the fleeing serpent fast! She then gives chase!

(Entangle, positioned so the bulk of the AoE is past Urushnora, letting our boys get in close safely, and forcing her to move through it even if it doesn't restrain her. Dex save DC 14 or be restrained.)

OOC: @Shayuri - Urshnora went through a secret door and is downstairs now. Basically, Urshnora fled and Carrodoc, Damien, and Thaliss gave chase. I believe you're currently upstairs with Tolan, Dent, and whatever sleeping Reavers haven't been executed yet.

(OOC - Huh...didn't realize she'd gotten so far. Okay, revise above to say Aridha gives chase. If she can get a bead on her with one move, she'll cast the spell as above. If not, she'll move twice)

OOC: I assume you went downstairs with your move.

The snake is oddly enough unable to avoid the strange lichens and kelp that reach out to restrain her.

On the following round Carradoc puts her to sleep, ending her ability to fight back.

OOC: Combat is over.

Tom cowers in the corner.

Taking a bead on the water snake, Damien was just about to fire at her when Aridha and Carrodoc brought her down with magic both natural and arcane. Shrugging, the warlock holstered his crossbow and sauntered over to the downed genasi. "Hey, good play there..."

As he moved, he called to hand his pact weapon. Normally in the form of a rapier, this time the weapon appeared as an almost comically large executioner's axe. The top of the axe haft took the shape of a pit fiend's open mouth with the blade appearing to be a stylized breath of flame. Taking a few practice swings, Damien approached the woman with death in his eyes.

YES!!!

Damien paused, more due to the thrashing vines than anything. "She just turned into a snake made of water." Pointing to the underground stream, he said, "Considering there's water right there and she just flowed underneath a door, it seems like a really bad idea to wake her up, but maybe that's just me."

"There's got to be someone else in this place that we could torture for information... hopefully one who can't flow under a door like it was nothing."

This woods witch is beginning to bore me...

Left alone with Dent, Tolan nods to the knight.

"Thank you for your assistance."

He walks over to the final reaver and hefts his blade for a moment's consideration.

"We should probably tie this one up."

He casts away the reaver blade and pulls out his supplies, digging through his pack for rope.
