D&D 5E (IC) Fitz's Folly

The Nameless crawled straight through and examined the problem from the other side. Wondering if there might be a way of stopping, or at least stemming the flood from the source.

Nameless found himself in a dark tunnel full of rushing sea-water. It was impossible to see how far it would go, and the sides were very slippery. He had to hold his breath with the water hitting his body and he did his best to wedge himself in, but it was difficult.

OOC: Nameless needs to roll a dc12 Dex Save or be washed out. He will fall onto the rock that fell out of the ceiling and take [roll0] damage if he fails, otherwise he can proceed with an Athletics check (the higher he makes, the further he'll go.)

Rodrigo wedged the crowbar into the steel door and pulled with all he had. The door moved enough for him to know that this could work, but it did not immediately open. He looked around for Dellrack's aid, but the dwarf was desperately removing his armour as the water rose above his beard.

OOC: Two people on the crowbar might not change to roll (still advantage with the higher strength bonus) but it might lower the dc. The crowbar is good and wedged in. Also, no one has attempted to fiddle with the lever or hinges with the make-shift thieves' tools of a dagger, which I said I'd allow.

The mechanism holding the door shut gave way with a loud pang and Rodrigo and Chrysagon managed to get their hands in, then an arm, then brace a body against the frame, and eventually to force the door against the rushing water, which now covered the stairs. Outside the door was another staircase leading further up, now flooding with water.

The group rushed for these stairs. It was at this point that the others noticed that "Harb" had disappeared into the rushing water.

"I'll get him," Dellrak roars diving into the water. The dwarf swims quickly to the stone, and with his darkvision catches a glimpse of the monk. Squeezing through the gap, he hopes he can catch him before there is no stair to get back to.
