OOC: Let's see if I'm standing.
[roll0]

Water quickly rising to his shins, the dwarf drops the crossbow and slips his pack from his shoulders. "Here I have dis!" he says pulling out a crowbar and tossing it up the stairs to Chrysagon.

Hefting the pack once more he stands at the base of the stairs a hand on the wall to keep himself steady.

The Nameless stays low as the initial cascade of water pours across them. Standing afterwards he is steady enough. Giving their situation a good look over he decides to stay where he is and wait for the others, crowding the stairs to achieve their escape.

OOC: Translation, I don't see anything he can do to help except maybe help steady other people.

Catching the crowbar, "Perfect!"

So Chrysagon goes for the muscle way while Rodrigo and Miss Imogen try the brain way.

Athletics 16
Advantage (crowbar): [roll0]

Chrysagon jammed the crowbar into the door behind it's wooden frame and pried a large chunk of wood off the door. The door did not open, but instead revealed a steel door behind the wooden facade. The good news was that hinges could now be seen. The bad news was that removing them would take time - and the water was raising to waist-level.

Ooc: did reversing the lever do anything? Furthermore, if Rodrigo is granted advantage...

Rodrigo kept looking. Miss Imogen pointed at the revealed metal - the expenses at building this trap were ludicrous! - but her tone made him refocus: this had to be important, and some opening mechanism had to exist... otherwise the wooden "door" would have covered a rock or earthen wall.

Second roll on insight check: 1D20+1 = [5]+1 = 6

Ooc: again, unless it's quite obvious....

"Try the darn torches!" Dellrak roars as water nears his chest. "See if dae do be the way to gettn' us out."

OOC: There are two torches at the top of the steps. Lit I believe.

The Nameless wades to the other side of the death trap and looks for weaknesses in the blockage. Using his staff he begins to try to leverage some of them out of the way.
