Legend
Chrysagon had dove down to a hole, but it was as rapidly filling with mud as the room was filling with water. Myrral looked at the images on the walls, but he could think of no historical precedent for them - they seemed more the dreams of a destructive madman.

Miss Imogen donned the hat that had been given to her by the lobsterfolk Um'Qo. Sure as promised, she could breathe normally, even when submerged. She treaded over to the candle held on a dish in the hands of a skeletal merfolk, stuck in the wall. The flame flickered, but refused to go out, even when struck by water (which was splashing everywhere, both by how it fell from above and by the crowd thrashing about).

OOC: @Hades#2 You still around for Grrol? I know we haven't moved very far in quite some time, but you're welcome to keep playing him!

Hades#2

Explorer
Grrol reluctantly follwed the others into the room, certain he was about to be burned extra crispy ir worse. The one called Miss Imogen was calm. Perhaps she knew a magic spell to protect them?

Grrol takes 11 damage
Almost as quickly as it started, Grrol suddenly found himself in a room full of water. He had been slightly burned but felt fortunate to be alive.

"Rowwwl!" he howled at the water.

Grrol tried to keep his head above the water. Then he remembered the reed he was given. Grrol quickly stuck it in his mouth and found it odd he could breathe underwater. Such magic!

Prickly Pear

Adventurer
Myrral stares at the walls but seem to shrug and not able to make anything out. Qawasha seem to struggle as well. Miss Imogen pulls on the lit candle but the water kept raising. Chrysagon took a deep breath and tried to understand the writing and pictures on the walls, looking for clues. And was this real clams, snails, and oysters, or were they just decorations?

"Before you all appeared, the room was draining and the hole there was bigger. Maybe we just wait until it fills and then follow the water out as it drains?"

FitzTheRuke

Legend
Qawasha was able to help the others to breathe underwater by handing out reeds, while Chrysagon treaded water in a confused, half-panic. As the room filled, Grrol dove down to find that a hole was clearing of muddy debris, leaving a water-tunnel.

Ussal crawled out through muck that quickly turned to dried sand into a stone cell. Its walls were covered with reliefs showing desert sands swallowing the ruins of civilization. A bas-relief of a robed medusa dominated one wall, wearing a stone necklace with an obsidian pendant and clutching a burning iron brazier. Sand began to fall from tiny holes bored into the ten-foot-high ceiling, and Ussal could hear a rumbling noise in the far corner, below the floor, as the thick sand began to shudder and shift in that direction.

When the tunnel opens, Qawasha starts swimming down into it.

Kobold Stew

Last Guy in the Airlock
Supporter
Miss Imogen places her bow over her shoulder, to give a narrower profile, and with both hands starts pulin herself after Qawasha, in the direction of the hole. The hat she wears provides a bubble of air around her head, which was as fresh as a mountain field -- utterly unlike the dank, heavy air of the jungle above, or the stale tepid air of the tomb they've been exploring.
