[ic] Kore | Kingdom Of Harmony [terminated]

The monk is of a slender built, agile but not very strong, or so it seems. He is not tall, but from the calluses on his hands it appears that he is no stranger to the martial arts.

At your question he just smiles."Oh, he is just a scoundrell, repeating often-heard words, so he gets rewarded with rice and meat. He'll badger you without end if you pay too much attention."

**A scoundrel? Me? I never do such things. Well, not often. Hardly ever at all.**

Sorry, litlle one, let them think you are harmless.

**I am harmless. Almost. But I'll play along**

**"Meat..Meat...Rrrrrice"** he crows as he hops about on Tezune's shoulder, clearly excited at the thought of getting some food.

**Like this?**

Marvelous, little one.

"But that is what seperates the enlightened from the rest. Overcoming one's desire, and refusing to let the needs of the flesh overcome the mind, no?"

Rokuro smiles.

"I think, some days, that few if any men are truly enlightened. Would that all were as honest as you."

He sketches a half-bow from his seated position.

ooc: Nice work guys. If you could exit your character from the stage, I'll get the next scene set up once you (with the exception of DrZ) are done.

Tezune scowls, annoyed at his companion's rudeness in his evasive answer. Mutsorou tries to decide whether the man is a fool or whether he has something to hide. Internally, he shrugs. "This has proved diverting," announces Tezune, rising and bidding what little farewell the monk and the foriegner deserve. "May you live in interesting times,"* he says with a smile that is as much bared teeth as any actual display of positive emotion.

*I'm pretty sure this is as out of place as saying "turn the other cheek," but it sounds cool.

Rokuro's smile stays fixed as the Ronin walks off. Then he gets up.

"Live in interesting times? I make interesting times."

Laughing softly to himself he walks off.

ooc: I understand that its an old chinese expression, so its probably not out of place.

Introduction | The beginning

It begins to rain again that evening, and once more you are confined indoors unless its ugent enough to get wet for. A couple of days later a message, or more accurately, an invitation arrives at your abode. Its rather brief. "Setsuma Morimoto requests the pleasure of your company for dinner at the Nagagawa Inn tomorrow at sundown." It is delivered to you by name. But the man who delivers the message knows nothing more about it or Morimoto-san's intentions. Or if he does, he doesn't let on. However, the inn has quite a reputation for its fine seafood. It would be worth a visit just for that. And you don't really have anything better to do at the moment.

Nagagawa Inn is located at the desirable end of the entertainment district. Unlike the cheaper places, it has a low wall surrounding some grounds, which in turn surround the building itself. Low, stone lanterns line the path from the front gate to the entrance to the inn. At the inn, you are greeted at the door by the Lady of the House and, after removing your footwear, are shown through to a private dining room. Its at the back of the inn, overlooking the river. The is a low table in the center of the room, with food and drink laid out upon it. A man awaits in the room. He's middle aged and well dressed in the style of a merchant. He rises and greets each of you politely as you arrive.

"My pleasure to meet you. I am Setsuma Morimoto."

ooc: please let me know what you choose to wear and carry. Swords would be acceptable for a samurai (or ronin), armour would be highly unconventional.
