Jakira, "Let's go!" But the mental command bid him to be patient and he harrumphed again.

She got behind folks and literally pushed them if necessary. Adventure awaited!

Jariah got to her feet as the others came spilling out of Ameiko’s tavern. The warriors came first, looking to be ready to get moving. She patted Jakira’s head, waiting to see what was going on.

Elsbeth nodded in greeting to Jariah as the group exited the Inn.

"Care to join us? Fastus is eager to find treasure."

Wireth breathed deep and sighed when the finally managed to get out of the Inn. He tried not to draw Sachiko's attention as he made sure she wasn't alone at the van of the group, and gave Suldrel a silent nod to acknowledge he'd keep an eye on his adopted sister. Then he turned his attention to their path, angling out of town and toward the closest path he knew that could take them to their first destination...

Combat Suprise Round & Round 1

The group head out of town. Then south on the Lone Coast Road. Finally they take the Old Fish Trail to the site where the goblin village was. The group is just finishing crossing a bridge when a creature rushes out of the marsh on the right. The hairless humanoid lurches on back-bent, dog-like legs, its hideous mouth flanked by tiny arms with three-fingered hands. From the look of it this must be the Soggy River Monster. It bites Sachiko in the arm and she feels something odd trying to take effect.

No one beat the monster's hide of 29 so no one but it acted in the surprise round. I went ahead and rolled 'tie breaker' rolls for the two ties since the DEX's match in both cases.

Sachiko needs to make a Will save.
