Fastus tries once more to make a hole in the roof with his feet. This time, while not completely successful he seems to have made a small hole. Gutwad stabs at the celestial eagle and hits (7 damage). The eagle winks out of existance. Two more arrows come flying in from the swamp. They both strike the lone goblin standing.

Suldrel, Sachiko, Elsbeth, Jariah, Wireth and Nairo are up.

Frustrated by the large chieftain's uncanny ability to avoid her attacks, Sachiko loses her patience and starts wildly swinging at the creature...with predictably inaccurate results!

[roll0] to hit for [roll1]

Feeling much better, Wireth clambers back onto the walkway, then slips through his fellows to take up a position on Gutwad. Despite having avian distraction, Wireth fails to connect.

Nairo manages a few more nicks and scratches, however.

UPDATED MAP

[sblock=ooc]

Climb (1d20+8=15)

Note: moving to his present position on the map opens Wireth to an AoO from Gutwad.

Jariah goes before Wireth, so I figure either she'll fill the space with another eagle, or Wireth can use a Free action to give Nairo the command to flank. So, either way, he'll have a flanking partner when it's his turn. Wireth attack:

Flanking two handed attack vs. Gutwad; damage (1d20+7=12, 1d8+6=10)

Miss

Nairo full attack. I rolled without flanking bonuses. I think the nature of the results is such that it wouldn't matter either way:

bite; damage;claw;damage;claw;damage (1d20+4=5, 1d4=1, 1d20+4=20, 1d4=1, 1d20+4=24, 1d4=1)

Hit for 2, possible crit:

crit confirm; crit damage (1d20+4=16, 1d4=4)[/sblock]

Why did everyone insist on getting in his way? Suldrel moves behind Sachiko for a slightly more predictable obstacle than a flapping bird but despite a relatively more astute stab at the goblin chief the interference proves too much. On top of that he can feel his rage beginning to subside.

OOC: Attack: 1d20+2=15, 1d8+7=14 . Penalties due to rage ended only start to take effect on the turn after the last round it is used, right?

Jariah Taliaferro, Human Female

Jariah still had one eagle in the air and took a chance that it would last a bit longer than the the others and flung a globule of acid instead.

Jariah remarked, “We almost have him.”

He globule of acid hit the floor and was harmless.

[sblock=Actions/OOC]If still alive, Celestial Eagle 3 Full Attack with Smite Evil on Gutwad: Bite & 2 Claws (1d20+3=21, 1d4+1=2, 1d20+3=14, 1d4+1=2, 1d20+3=21, 1d4+1=4) (doesn't include flanking)

Summoned Eagle 3 8/10 rounds remaining

Jariah will use Acid Splash: Ranged Touch on Gutwad (Penalty of ranged attack into melee included) (1d20-1=1, 1d3=2)
If Eagle 3 was already killed, then she will Summon Eagle 4 (using the rolls above for its attack).

We do? wondered Fastus on his roof. He peered down through the small hole he'd made and took in the battle... "Only one guy left?" Burn it, he'd missed the whole thing!

He pressed his mouth to the hole: "HEY YOU! GOBLIN! SURRENDER ALREADY!"

OOC: And I'm back. :)

Goblin Village Combat 2 - Round 4 - Wrapup

Binder Fred: Fastus tries once more to make a hole in the roof with his feet. This time, while not completely successful he seems to have made a small hole.

Graybeard: Elsbeth moves past Jariah and tries to send another ray of frost at the goblin chief but fails to hit the lone goblin standing.

perrinmiller: Jariah made the gestures to summon another eagle.
Jariah remarked, “We almost have him.”
The eagle popped into existence and attacked.

jkason: Feeling much better, Wireth clambers back onto the walkway, then slips through his fellows to take up a position on Gutwad. As he moves the goblin chief hits him in the left arm (3 damage). Despite having avian distraction, Wireth fails to connect.
Nairo manages a few more nicks and scratches, however.

Fastus is up.

CURRENT MAP

Didn't go for it, uh? The goblin DID glance up at the noise though, and when he did Fastus blew an avalanche of flames down the hole!

OOC: Probably too far to actually hit him with that (right?) so maybe that could be a Help Another?
If so: 1d20+3=6... This is getting ridiculous.

Disgusted, Fastus dropped down off the roof: maybe another angle of atack would work better?

Updated Map.

It appears that the lone goblin is reaching into his pack for something. Suldrel, Sachiko, Wireth, Nairo and the celestial eagle get attacks of opportunity. Remember that Wireth and the celestial eagle get +2 for flanking and it is just one attack for those birds with multiple attacks.
