Elsbeth was temporarily startled by Fastus's sudden hug and twirl. She was unaccustomed to such things, even from Fastus and Sachiko.

"Should we go look around the village to see if there are any more hiding? Maybe they have something we can sell or trade to help the people in Sandpoint?"

"I am not sure your sensibilities are significantly less delicate than I would prefer my sister's would remain," says Suldrel glumly, off put by the blacksmith's enthusiasm. "I may not have the same leverage over you, so I cannot stop you if you really want to, but I think I would prefer you, and Elsbeth, stay out of it as well."

The lion-haired youth frowned, slowly working it out: "So... 'No'?" Well, maybe he could help somewhere else. "How about the 'case?"

If Suldrel wants it, he'll toss it over.

"Your brother's GRUMPY today," he mentioned to Sachiko, once the elf had gone out of (human) earshot.

"Should we go look around the village to see if there are any more hiding? Maybe they have something we can sell or trade to help the people in Sandpoint?"

"Hm?" The young man looked down, and then grinned, noting Elli's startled expression... He did take his hand off her back though.

"Later though, ok?" he readily agreed. "I mean just LOOK at these guys Elli: all the feathers and metal bits and bones? All guarding THAT door? That's were the BIG treasure is, right?" He looked from Jariah to Wireth.

"That's just Suldrel," Sachiko assures Fastus, so engrossed in going through Gutwad's things that she hasn't even noticed his 'nya nya' moment. "Pinch his bottom lip and tug on it and he'll stop, for a little while."

Wireth raises an eyebrow at Fastus' assertion, then shrugs.

"Like as not there's something important, but like I said, let's take care of the lot we have first. Some of us are still cut up; if we're lucky, there might be a bit more healing magic hereabouts before we open up any more doors.

"The gobbers seem pretty content to wait behind these things until we open them, so we might as well be as ready as we can be before we move on."

Fastus looked down at the clotted blood on his left shin, then at the orc's own injuries, evaluating... "Small stuff," he dismissed off-hand. "Gone by tomorrow. You want my potion thing?" Orcs were more cautious than he thought... Or maybe that came with age or something?

Besides, there was no goblins behind that door. He just KNEW it, right?


OOC: He'll give the potion he's carrying to Wireth if he wants it.
OOC: The 'nya nya' moment unfortunetly didn't happen BTW, since Suldrel didn't go for it.

Jariah Taliaferro, Human Female

Jariah dismissed the celestial eagle after the goblin chief fell. She made no move to try stopping the bleeding. There was talk previously of interrogating prisoners, and they already had one unconscious goblin. Having a leader to question might have been a better deal, but there was nothing she really wanted to know about the goblins and their village.

She remarked, "I think it unlikely there are going to be more goblins in the next room, unless they put their young in there for protection and they were all standing guard here."

"Perhaps we can make a hole to peek this time instead of busting down the door. I can summon more eagles to deal with any goblins inside without risking ourselves like last time. That way we need not use any of the healing magics if we do not want to."

She started looking through the dead goblins' gear in the room to see what sort of things they had. She wondered aloud, "Can anyone detect magical auras? I cannot."

Fastus too set about rooting through the goblin things -- not really looting, more like looking for anything interesting... Maybe something for Elli to sell?

"Do goblins really work like that?" he asked Jariah about the goblin kids thing. "Don't they spring whole out of swamp puddles or something?"

That's what he'd heard anyways...

The youth in question paused to blink at her: "I can't?" (He hadn't actually thought all the way to 'tadpoles', actually, but he wasn't going to say NOW.)

Sachiko laughs heartily at that and looks up at Fastus. "You thought that's what they did? Tadpoles? HAH!"

She goes back to her rummaging, adding, "We should find their egg chamber though, or we'll just be back here in a few years doing this all over again."
