Dandin urged the bear to follow him into the cover under a nearby tree, using the shadows underneath to cover the both of them from, hopefully for long enough to prove a neat little surprise for any orc dumb enough to come up and investigate.

mainly just repositioning to under the tree on the southern edge of the map and attempting to hide himself and the bear for the short term.

Round 1

Angis cursed a bit as Tommi rushed off down the cliff into the brush. So much for the high ground. He couldn’t really let the boy die on his own, though. He tramped out of the trees and to the cliff’s edge, following after the boy, but paused to mark the orc with the two swords and fire his crossbow at the orc.

Legend
The battle began with a decent ambush. Sir Darfin and Escella staggered the one-eyed orc with their spells, who dropped behind the cover of the rocks. Angis struck the large-tusked orc with a quarrel that spun him around. The others moved to advantageous positions and stayed out of sight while the orcs yelled out, slow to get organised.

The two wolves growled and rushed up the hill, passing Tommi in the bushes without noticing him.

OOC: @Prickly Pear hasn't gone for Titus yet, but I figured with the orcs being surprised and the wolves just dashing, I'd roll the round so people could go again. Just take two turns for Titus in round 2.

Prickly Pear

Adventurer
Titus was slow to react. He was still in awe of how quietly he had managed to sneak through the forrest. Not a sound! Unbelievable!
But now it was time to act. He moved up to the edge to get a good view of the clearing below.
The wolves were charging up the hill. Titus were not in a good position, trees and bushes were in the way, so he moved further down. He aimed his hand cross bow at the leading wolf but the bolt went wide. He swapped over to his trusted sword instead.

Round 1
Action: Dash
Move: between Angis and Vairar (AH36)

Round 2

Move: to AH40

Previous rounds
Titus casts False Life: False Life spell, temporary hit points for Titus (at will): 1D4+4 = [2]+4 = 6

Vairar waits, but the wolves are just shy of his position and the tension proves too much. Instead of waiting for the wolf, he steps forward to stab at it and misjudges the angle and the slipperiness of grass under his boots. He slids and only firmly stabbing the pike into the earth keeps him on his feet. The wolf is forgotten for the moment as he returns to his combat poise and stable footing.

FitzTheRuke

Legend
OOC: It is very steep where Vairar is. Having the high ground is great until you start sliding toward the enemy! (Not to mention having to hold back on some of your thrust to avoid overbalancing.) Too much of a good thing?
