D&D 5E (IC) Scourge of Daggerford

Despite stumbling over a few words and spilling his drink, Dandin gets the story out to everyone's satisfaction but his own. He feels he could have told it much better, but the crowd cheers at the end and raises their tankards.

While telling the story, Dandin notices that Janos and his family are there, the boys sleeping on an otter-skin in a corner, far past the point of noticing the roar of the crowd.

OOC: Everyone is so into the story that the DC is really low!

Dandin smiles anyways waves off any calls for another telling on account of being exhausted from the ordeal. He slides back into his chair and grins sheepishly at his companions. And leans back, wondering how he'll ever make it back to Happy Cow tonight.

Approaching the Otter, Enseth had a growing apprehension. The music and the hubbub coming from the tavern were indicating that a lot of people were feasting. But inspired by his mission, he dared to look inside.

Staring at the common room, Enseth freezed. So much people... having social intercourses. It tooks some cycles before this vision of horror could be processed. He would rather be on the battlefield with goblins than here, trying to simulate social standards which he knew nothing. He felt naked and unarmed to handle this adversity. "Master, why have you forsaken me?"

He stayed stills, in a corner, for a while. Watching, and learning. Studying every gestures, every moves. Then Dandin started his story about their exploits, he was good. The story cheered Enseth so much he could not resist and he began to play battle sounds to give some background ambiance at the tale. At the end, he approached slowly Dandin, Tommi, Angis (and anyone present at the table) and ask, "I suppose your blood alcohol level must approach some fatal threshold but, are inclined to accept an other fermented beverage?"

As he was not certain about the right protocol to adopt in such situation, he added, "It's on me!" and tried to make eye contact.

Friend

The word echoed in Enseth system a few times before he could respond.

"You consider me a friend?"

Dandin looked at Enseth perplexed, for but a moment and then grinned again. "We fought off a horde of marauding goblins together! Of course I consider you a friend!"

Enseth goes to the bar, "Hello Brewmaster, I'm Enseth, Model Number Seven, designed and computerized as a mechanized arcanic defence system. Now, you may find my request unconventional but, would you have by any chance an... apple. It is for my friend."

Tommi is in his element, and happy to be the hero of Dandin's story. Okay, maybe not the hero, but a main character, and he needed no priming from me.

Some of the girls kiss his cheek, so that's a win, and when Enseth offers to buy him a round, he bursts out laughing with delight. He accepts the offer in the same breath, of course.

"I should die every night, if this is the result," he thinks to himself.

Tommi accepts the ribbing, as he realizes that he needs to clean his clothes. Maybe he'll visit his mother in the morning, which after all isn't too far from now.
