Though it was somewhat chaotic, as all battles are, the group was beginning to work together efficiently, in spite of appearances to the contrary. Morgan distracted and harmed a wolf skeleton with a spell while Tommi hacked at another with his rusty blade, Oh-six buzzing around it. Escella and Lionel fired their respective bolts at the Necromancer until the gnoll staggered and fell. Lunn rushed past, roaring, and he arrived as Vairar planted his pike and a blast of lighting from the elf mixed with a shower of sparks from the half-orc. The body of the necromancer fell onto Morgan's grease-slick, and slid to a stop in the corner of the small chamber, while the skeletal wolf exploded into a mess of bones and dried flesh.

With the way forward safe, Titus and Lionel pushed toward Tommi, while the two dwarves replaced Titus as a wall protecting Morgan. Titus threw a javelin while the dwarves fired crossbows, and the last wolf-skeleton was so punctured by them that it could only sit there twitching and flexing its jaw until Tommi hacked its head off.

OOC: Morgan did 9 to UW2; Tommi did 17 to UW1; Escella did 24 to Necromancer; Lun did 1 to UW2; Vairar did 16 to UW2 & Necromancer. Titus & the dwarves did 5 each to UW2. That's everything dead. End of Encounter.

Morgan moved towards the dead gnoll, waiting a moment for the spell to dissipate and listened. Then, when he heard nothing, he searched the creature to see what it might have on it. Perhaps a key or some other clues as to what was down here.

Tommi, further away, looks at the room he finds himself in. He calls back over his shoulder, "Is everyone alright?" His words slur a bit because his cheek is swollen from the combat, but he doesn't want to complain. "We got them all. For now."

Assuming he finds the room clear and safe (and lit?) he moves back to join the others. Unless he sees something really cool.
 

OOC: I've been playing with an AI art generator lately. I have a lot of strong feelings on the use of AI art commercially, but as a "toy" I find it interesting. Here are some results for you.


Tommi stood in a damp, brick-lined cellar containing shelves on which stood a few clay vases. Many containers were broken on the shelves and on the floor. To the right was a banded wooden door covered in mold and warped with age. A hallway continue forward into darkness.

Escella and Morgan looked to the east, where the damp cellar opened into a once-proud vestibule lined with crumbling marble, dimly lit by the light of a brazier. A few arches led toward what were likely to be dark crypts.

Note: that light source to the left should ought to be shadowy darkness instead.
Morgan turned to looting the fallen Gnoll necromancer. The body was frail and smelled terribly, as if it had been dead for much longer than just a moment. Morgan found and pocketed a few small valuables - a set of ivory dice, a purse of 8gp in smaller coin - when the gnoll's mouth suddenly opened wide and a black cloud of terrible breath escaped, hitting Morgan full in the face.
Morgan must roll a dc14 CHA save or be Possessed by Baazka the Skinwalker!

Morgan coughed and gagged. He shook his head and squinted with a disgusted look on his face.

"That was unpleasant. Something tried to attack me. It's gone now."

He picked up the gnolls belongings and pocketed them.

"Where to?"

"This way," says Tommi, heading further into what appeared to be a storage area. "If that necromancer had more to hide, it would be down here." Tommi, Gutter in hand, heads forward, as Oh-Six hovering above his head, provides some illumination.
 

"Seems as good a way to go as any given our complete lack of knowledge about what these tunnels original purpose was," Escella says, following after Tommi, assuming other move forward as well.
