[IC] SWS/DnD5, Star Wars the Old Republic – A Gathering Darkness

Realizations are tripping in the gand's chitinous head... She moves away from the protection of her fungus to face the reptile threat together with the mercs, incidentally bringing her closer to the man in the black and red helmet...

clacketty jumble, mumble drone "Has that one been feeling abnormally angry lately?" He glances at the other as she reloads the flaregun with its last projectile. clacketty whirr drone shuffle "Maybe strange ideas in that one's head...?" low-hum jumble click, drone "Think, please: when did this start?"

There's a metallic click and the flare gun goes back up. To the mercenaries at large: jumble click WHIRR "Suggestion: All together now?"

And she triggers the flare!

OOC: Plus bonus attack action vs one of the fliers: Pigeon gallery: 1D20+5 = [15]+5 = 20; 3D8+4 = [6, 3, 7]+4 = 20 lethal

===

After a decent pause to let the others speak: "These ones are fighting saurian fliers with Czerka Mining mercs," it answers Jihahna Darut's call. Blaster fire and lightsaber hums can be heard in the background, along with the shouts of the man who just lost his arm.

Kacela allows the saurian flyer that's fleeing her to leave without further molestation, and turns to face the mercenaries, her lightsaber held at the ready. Her eyes focus on the grenade in one of their hands, but she doesn't move towards him.

"I'd advise against throwing that at us," she says calmly. "It won't go well for you."

(Readying an action to Move Object on the grenade if he throws it.)

This Gand again fires up her flare gun and than scores another good hit against one of the fliers that looks like it was going to dive bomb the team, causing it too howl in pain and retreat back into the fog. Then Cal fires and seriously hurts the second one, causing it to fall somewhat in the sky but then it took takes a hasty retreat back into the swamp, disappearing from sight (although its strange howls are pain can be heard for some time). Reks slashes the Saurian Flier in front of him, cutting it almost in two and then leaps down to the ground. Kacela stands ready, facing the mercenaries...

The remaining Saurian Fliers seem to have had enough of the ground running prey that is able to strike back so effectively and they too retreat back into the fog and mist, their strange calls echoing through the area.

The mercenaries all face the team, their weapons at the ready, but seem hesitant to move closer to the team (and the two lightsaber wielding Jedi) or to attack. They look too their armored leader...

Cass Everburn keeps his blaster carbine in one hand and the grenade (still 'primed') in the other. He looks at the team and at Kacela in particular and says "What do you want here..." then almost spiting (into his mask) "...Jedi?"

GM: The mercs are taking the Ready action, watching was Cass, the lead merc does. Cass is also holding action. If Kacela wants she can make a Charisma (Intimidate) or (Persuasion). As this Gand is also talking to them, she can aid you so you have Advantage

"What the Jedi always want," replies Kacela. "Peace. For all sentient life."

(Aiding the Gand, as she has been doing most of the talking so far.)

With a dip of the head the gand steps out from between the two, taking on a secondary role to the side-- although she does (subtly!) gesture towards the captain with a three-fingered hand: clacketty drone, slur jumble drone click "Extreme behavior, Kacela, Reks Seviir." burble whirr clicketty long, soft-drone "Like the miners at the port?"

He seems to think so anyway.

(AND because I'm a doof and I made an incorrect assumption, my second roll for advantage must be in a second post! YAY DICEBOT SPAM! :) [roll0])

The team can almost hear the mercenary leader's teeth grinding under his helmet. After a second he un-primes the grenade and clips it back on his belt. He says "OK what now? I am sure my lads could have taken that flying lot of teeth. We still have a job to do..."

Back at the landspeeder Thirteen seems to calm down but gets back under cover "Thank you mistress, I knew you would not abandon me here in the wilderness."

And after this Gand's com Jihahna notices that the blaster fire is dying off...

The empty flaregun gets tucked back into its utility belt, the blaster matter-of-factly slides back into its holster, under the beaten poncho. The gand nods deep in gratitude to the leader... then gestures for permission to approach the wounded Botan with no arms...?

[sblock=Actions]If he/she gets it, it'll either 1. Offer her medpac to those helping the man, or if they already have one 2. Wrap the man's severed arms in his spare pouches soaked in water from his rations (don't know what's swimming in the local brew, do we? ;)). For transport and hopefully re-attach.

This is assuming Cal isn't here. Otherwise he'll defer to him on all things medical.[/sblock]
slurr burble click slish "The conflict with the saurian is over," it informs over the comm. jumble drone whirr, mumble mumble, clack "Jihahna Darut and GE3-T3 may approach with caution?"

Jihahna sighs into her com-link. "You're so nice Gand"; she releases her finger on the comlink and addresses Thirteen in a whisper "It's adorable".... She sighs again as she powers down the speeder next to the one containing the droid.

Raising her communicator again she addresses the Gand once more, "Okay listen, the truth can potentially convince them to leave, but you have to point out the primary problems the truth is going to have for THEM. Firstly, the significant amount of trouble they have had so far is the result of only the dozen or so Kwi that left the mining camp recently."

Jihahna pauses a moment, before continuing. "Secondly, whether the mercs wish to acknowledge Kwi sentience or not, there is no denying their intelligence when it comes to guerilla warfare, which it sounds to me as if said tactic has worked."

Jihahna flicks the hair from her face with her left hand before going on. "Finally, they know for a fact the amount of trouble they have sufferred has only been at the hands of a few Kwi and whether they believe us or not, we know that they are more than willing to call together all the Tribes on the planet to fight this. Basically, this job is way above their paygrade and they're fighting a losing battle that should only be fought with an army."
