[IC] SWS/DnD5, Star Wars the Old Republic – A Gathering Darkness

Listening over the commlink, Cal paused. He thought he knew the twi'lek well enough to figure she had no intention of delivering the spice, knowing what kind of harm that would do to hundreds of beings. But then, he wasn't entirely sure. Deciding to hold his peace for now, the medic waited to hear the remainder of the conversation.

Jihahna is momentarily horrified by Kacela's comment as well... She bites her tongue, every nerve in her body twitching in concern for the people of Axxia.

She assumes the Twi'lek has an idea. Jihahna is non-theless still nervous and knows how the drug trade generally works, making the poor into addicts and thereby, dependent on the Cartels.

She held her breath as she waited for the replies.

The gand sinks down into a relaxed crouch, elbows on her knees, looking from one speaker to the next in turn with considerably less tension than before.

OOC: Does Garnell carry a datapad or comlink on him, GK? If so, using Telepathic Link with Machines to try to hack it remotely through the Force: Electronic mind-meld: 1D20+5 = [9]+5 = 14. Spending a FP to get it over 15. Looking for info on their present mission if a datapad, a list of contacts if a comm. Recent calls on planet indicating a local Hutt network maybe?[/sblock]

She thought she had seen that look before. But what did it mean...

Jihanna is fairly certain the man is lying about something. He is simply to slick with his reply and mannerism.

This Gand gets the feeling that the man is carrying a datapad. Seeking to 'connect' with it as best s/he can gets some basic info about much of the data appears to be 'locked' away or blocked from sensing too much. Although s/he does feel that with time s/he could access it...

GM: Just like computer hacking you are first going to need to get past its security which will depend on how much data you want to access. A 14 will get you some basic information.

(Beeping and scritches caress her exoskeleton, rush up her arm along nerves and sinews, a miniature symphony of noise, images and the emotions they create.

Outside, only a small twitch marks the process, but inside... inside she is a living wire, even as her viewpoint dives into the flat machine at Garnell's waist. It's a datapad, she realizes even as she plunges through the scratched casing.

If not, I'm guessing I keep rolling until the gand accumulates enough successes or meets one of the countermeasures?

At first this Gand is able to access a bit of the basic info on the datapad. That the owner is one Garnell Fel and that he resides in the Jaddin Jade Tower, level 1213 on the planet Axxila, in the northwestern Hab zone of the World-City. His employment is listed as 'Precursor of Rare Objects' for the House Melstrum Consortium.

Concentrating s/he is able to break past further security locks and access a private datafile that lists a number of his 'holdings' on Axxila (along with some, not all, of the security codes to some of the lower end locked storage facilities). There are also picture of the Outlaw Gambit and C4, Cal, this Gand, Targo, Kacela, Reks and Jihahna. Reks and Kacela are listed as Jedi.

Garnell sits back in his seat, still smiling, and ads "So I can assume that we can make arrangements for the cargo to be transferred to my ship? I would like to conclude our business as quickly as possible. The people of Axxila cannot wait forever..."
