“Fear isn’t the only reason people are locked up,” Hrgach said. “Protection, as well, if you’re a danger. That’s why we’re here. Something’s killing folk in the village.”
Hrgach knelt down to study the circle and star marking on the floor to see what he could make of it.
Asha stares at the cloaked figure and the thing inside the crystal. The thing makes her think of her father and his imprisonment and she shudders. She glances down to the runes etched in the floor as a distraction. Anything to take her mind from her father and his plans. She studies the runes in hopes to glean some information on the nature of the prison. It might give her some better idea at what they were dealing with.
