[IC] The Odd Job

"And why should I shelter you after threw me in that lake!" a muffled voice sounds from the bottom of Ana's pack.

There is the sound of scraping behind the door followed by the clanking of chains and grunting before the door swings open. Stood in the doorway is a halfling wielding a hand crossbow in either hand looking very shifty"Get in" he barks

As soon as Galdar crosses the threshold the door slams shut and the halfling grabs a large chain hanging from the ceiling and fastens it across the door before pushing the tables strewn around into a pile in front of the door. There is a smell of acrid smoke in the air coming from a series of glass tubes and pipes on the halfling sized bar."Sleep over there. Do not disturb my work" he beckons to the corner before sitting at the bar and reading a sizable tome.

"I was making a show for the hobgoblin. When he asks how you came back, I'll have no idea how you got back here." Ana whispered. "Besides, if you didn't want my help, you wouldn't have come back. Now how about right over in that copse of trees there?"

There is a screech cutting through the early morning as the white pickit fence erupts from the ground and a cottage appears on chicken legs it circles around a few times before settling in its spot. I side there is a giant oven in place of the floor.

"Do you have to be so loud?!" Ana demands. "What's with the oven? It certainly doesn't look safe."

When her friends find her waiting at the threshold to the hut, she says, "You're welcome to join me inside." And then she enters.

Asha shrugs and follows Ana inside. She looks around the hut. The oven was disturbing but she ignored it and turned back to Ana.

"I guess it's better than sleeping in bloody hay."

Asha smiles at the woman.

"Do you think the innkeep wwas right about the beast? If he is we might be able to offer our services to help. I'm sure a fair bounty could be gained if we kill the creature."

"Sure." Ana agrees. "But with our luck, the beast will show up before we negotiate a bounty." She sets her crate down in a corner and removes her pack to the relieve of her back. She then uses the pack as a makeshift pillow and finds a spot on the floor to sleep.

Round 0

Hrgach finished cleaning up the barn a bit and looked around.

“Now where in the bloody hells did everyone go?” he muttered.

Then a screech rent the night air, and Hrgach drew his greatsword, looking around warily.

He gently probed into the woods and found the ladies with their hut. “I thought you got rid of that bloody thing?” he demanded.

Retrieving his crate, Hrgach warily entered the hut. “Still say we should post watch,” he said. “I’ll take first.” He sat down on his crate, sword across his lap, and stared out the window.
