The markings on the floor are definitely runes used in a ritual of some sort,Asha is not familiar with the magic but she deduces that it would have been used in some kind of binding ritual and given they are a permanent fixture of the floor it must have been performed frequently.

At the talk of being killed the child steps up only reinforcing the fact that his robe is 5sizes to large and what ever is inside the orb grows to fill the entire sphere you get the feeling that what ever is inside that red sphere is staring right at you."I am down here because my father put me here to hide his shame or perhaps to forget."
