Round 3.5 and 4.0

While the genasi sisters do battle with the beast, Udit, Draco and Kurzon paddle out to help. Draco mumbles unintelligible words and the water splits as a beam of force strikes the creature. Kurzon throws his second-to-last Javelin, straight down, and it sticks into the meatiest part of the writhing mass of tentacles. Auraia suddenly switches places with her sister, and hacks the tentacle freeing herself, while Aquaria continues her relentless psychic assault.

The creature turns a shade of purple, then magenta, and then a dull brown as it's tentacles droop to the lake-bottom and it lies still.

GM: I used Kurzon's earlier retconned-out Javelin throw to resolve his turn. Poor thing. You've killed it!

The Genasi sisters swim to the surface, feeling more elation then fear. It's been along time since they've had to utilize so much of their power. Their drained, tired, but their eyes blaze bright with excitement. They break the surface and swim to the shore.

Aquaria hesitates, then dives back down to the creatures lair. She wants to search it and the creature to find out if there's anything else worth seeing.

Auraia looks to the others and smirks, "Took you long enough."

Aquaria smiles as she scoops up the coins and gems, seeing a nice sapphire that caught her eye. That would make a nice ring.

She makes her way to the surface, smiling sweetly as she siddles up to the ledge.

"I found some money," she said. "We can divy it up after. Unless you boys don't trust us."

She stood, and winced in pain. "I...could really use some healin, if we have it. Or some rest. That...well, it took a lot out of me. I've still got some tricks up my sleeve, but another fight like that and I'll be pretty used up..."

Auraia nodded, breathing heavy. "Agreed. I can still put some hurt on the bad guys, but popping around is going to become much harder until I get some rest."

Kurzon

"Thanks be to Tyr you are still alive," Kurzon states with feeling. "I have some healing left and will gladly offer it, once you are healed though could you retrieve my javelins please?"

Laying his hands on his injured companion he chants a prayer to Tyr.

Udit's smile is wide as he sees the two sisters emerge form the water victorious. He paddles to the shore to retrieve his swords. On the way, he grabs the doused torch floating

"We did it! Well done! Sorry my bow wasn't of much use here...

Uh, for the treasure, I could carry it. I have good boots! Did you find anything else besides gem and gold and such?"

Anyway, uh, I have a lot of good news, and a lot of bad news.

Bad news is that uh, it's going to be hard to get out of here.
Good news though is that I saw sign of maintenance on that side tunnel" (Udit points to the south-east). "If people come here for repair, it means there is a way out!"
"Bad news is that I saw some nutshells in the water. They use this water for waste disposal so, uh, don't drink it or swim in it..."
"Good news is that this monster would have killed any other monsters in the area, so this spot should be safe, for now at least"

OOC: would perhaps a short rest be a good move to take so that some of the PCs can marshal some of their strength back?

"I've got it, thanks," Aquaria smiles sweetly at Udit while pocketing the gems and gold. She holds up her sword and admires its workmanship, running her hand down the length of the gold inlay. As she did, the sword lit with light, growing brighter as she moved her hand down the blade. She smiled.

"Hey, let me have that," Auraia said, reaching for the blade.

"No!" Aquaria said, pulling it back and dousing the light. She slid it back in its sheath. "Mine. I got dibs."

"Oh what are you going to do with it? Stick it in bad guys?"

"That's what you do with swords, I think."

"You've never used a weapon in your life."

"Maybe I wanna learn."

Auraia rolled her eyes, "Whatever. Let's just go."

Aquaria grinned, holding her new sword.

Udit whistles... "uh, Aquaria, that's a pretty nice sword. Can you tell what it does?"

"I can show you how to use it, I had a friend who fought with these all the time and he gave me a few lessons. He was killed by a wizard..."

"... speaking of which... uh it was hard to see exactly what was going on down there, but it was pretty cool you can use magic under water. Are you two sorcerers? Do you need rest to retain your powers or something?
