OOC: It was the one in the store-room you went to before. I am going to assume that Udit takes a look at both.

Udit checks the state of the grates in both the Store-room and the prison by crawling down the stonework tunnel, rushing with fresh river water. First he checks the store-room, where he had disguised the grate to appear as if it had never been used. The way he had left the lock and had skewed the grate (so as to make it appear stuck) had changed. He concluded that the grate had been opened and then closed again. The room above was dark and silent, like it had been the first time he'd been there.

Leaving it alone, he moved on to the Prison grate. Here there was light coming from above, and soft voices: "Powerful wizards, they say. Blinded everyone, that's what I hear. Will they be coming for us? Nah, they're after the dragon's horde. Can the dracolich beat them? Sure it can. Can't it?"

The grate here had been bent for real. The lock was easy enough to deal with, but opening the grate would require force, which would make noise. It could probably be done quickly, but it would have to be. Climbing out while under attack would not be the most fun thing in the world either.

OOC: Do you want to go back to the Store-room grate? It seems too easy. They wouldn't let you pull that trick twice, would they?

Udit returns, looking perplexed.

"So uh, the prison room has guards in it. They hope that the Dracolitch can take us, and are afraid of our blindness magic. The grate is kinda messed up, so it will take time to get out, can't get out quiet. I don't like it, bad, uh, tactics and stuff."

"Storage room looks good. No one there that I can see. Pretty sure I can get the lock. It looks good"

"but, uh... too good. My guts screams trap. So I'm going to check a bit deeper... Torbin, uh, I'll need a hand"

Udit returns to the grate, and using the candle, gets a bit of light up there to get a better look, looking for traps and foes again

(OOC: I'm asuming that isn't getting me a second roll buuut)

Torbin left with the candle and Udit stayed behind, in the dark. Immobile. *Listening*. If there was someone here, they would assume they were gone and shift, let loose a breath, something...

Udit listens in the dark: 1D20+7 = [2]+7 = 9

But the water noises made this difficult. But it could help him too. Udit started chanting in a low voice. A bit of sweat broke out on his forehead - the Beetle of Memory didn't like giving in its powers, but Udit succeeded in shaping the magic.

Above him, a shape *flowed* through the grate and solidified on top if it - a kneeling, "hiding Udit. (OOC: cast minor image).

"Come on you bastard, strike"... the real Udit mentally urged the maybe guardian waiting in ambush, looking on from below the grate.

OOC: If something happens, I will let the GM describes. If nothing happens, then Udit will return to the group and say

"Either there is no trap, or it's, uh, too hard for me to detect. We could look with magic or somesuch, or just risk it"

The candle flickered eerily as Udit raised it through the grate. From down in the tunnel, he could only see crates and barrels. But the room was cold. Way colder than it had been when Udit was here last. Udit created an illusion of himself on the other side of the grate. It was a clever ruse, but there was no reaction to it.

Curious about the tempurature change, Pyrus climbs into the tunnel. He drew the heat from the room nearly nine hours ago, and while it would probably still be cold in there, it should not be this cold. Auraia agrees. The air is unnaturally stagnant. They suspect that some sort of ritual has been cast here. Experience says Necromancy, but without performing Detect Magic, it is impossible to confirm.

OOC: You could confirm it, or just assume they are correct.
