D&D 5E (IC) Vault of the Dracolich (River Gang)

OOC: I should point out that if the general consensus is to stop and talk to the Beast, we can end this round-by-round right away and do that for a bit. Obviously, it could quickly turn back into a combat, who knows? At any rate, feel free to talk to him, if you like. If you keep your posts short, we can stay in rounds, too.

Finding no targets for his arrows, Torbin held his bowstring taught, as he moved into a better position to see and strike should the need become evident. He stayed silent, allowing the others to do any talking.

Squirrels are evil!

Pyrus steps out, his flaming hair blue at the base. He nods to Auraia, who moves to the side, out of sight of the enemy, but still able to see Pyrus. She understood. If it came to blows, she would switch places with Pyrus and launch her attack.

Pyrus walked to the top of the stairs, in plane view.

"What did you have in mind?"

OOC: Auraia moves to I31, and Pyrus moves to N32. Auraia readies an action to use 3 psi points to use Transposition to switch places with Pyrus if he is attacked. She still has her +1 blades out.

Begin NEW Round One

In answer to Pyrus' question, Bardaby "the Beast" calls back, "What do I have in mind? For you? I in mind that you will DIE!"

There is the sound of doors opening in the room to the north and a terrible roar. The ground shakes as the sound of bone sliding on stone echoes from the hall. A table is smashed to the side and the last of the Beast Boy mercenaries flee to either side as an enormous petrified-bone dragon skeleton emerges from the room. It looks around the corner, it's glowing eyes piercing into Pyrus' very soul.

GM: Let's raise the excitement level, shall we? Luckily for you it had to double-move to get here.

OOC: Lets do this.

Pyrus grins and holds his hand up, telekinetic power wrapping the dragon.

He also bolts down the stairs.

OOC: Using Mastery of Force to grapple the dragon. No size limit is listed. He must succeed on a DC 14 saving throw or become grappled. Reading the rules, I think I can spend some psi points to increase the DC, but since it's 3 to grapple, I can only increase it to 16. I'll only do that if it'll help, though.

Not likely to succeed, but SO COOL if it does.

Pyrus

The Dracolich tears through Pyrus' pychic force. Roaring, it begins to follow him toward the stairs as he flees (smartly).

GM: Let's get this out of the way quick, then... Man, I always seem to beat the genasis with saves.

Kurzon grins when he sees the dragon, finally he can unleash himself. Noticing the dragon was blocking the doorway for the others, he raced to in hoping to block its movement and prevent the others from exiting. As he ran he quickly whispered a prayer to Tyr and disappeared, only to reappear in front of the beast. His sword sang as he attacked it!

Udit felt himself filled with bloodlust. The mosaic! It was one thing being the sole worshipper of a tiny God, it was another attracting the attention of the Lord of Murder.

But it was ok, with enough sacrifices the Beetle of Mislaid Memories would make Bhaal forget about him. What more could you want than forgetful enemies?

Udit sighed when he heard the bellicose reply - more blood shed eh? - but then gasped in alarm when he heard the dragon. Fine, they would beat it again.

"Time for uh, murder. Ah dang it"
