TL;DR:
Looking for class combo for 9th lvl human melee character with tendencies to Chaotic/Good and preference to Two Handed weapons.DM Banned: No tome of battle, no retarded vows from exalted deeds, no eberron, no magic of incarnum, no psyonics.

More stuff:
So one of our players is rolling a new character by the next session and we were searching for class combinations and whatnot. The general idea he wants to go is as a physical damage dealer, Chaotic/Good alignment since he did not like the limitations presented by the lawful samurai, and he also seems to prefer the Two Handed (not two-weapon) style which fits since we don't have anyone else with that. One obvious choice would be a Frenzied Berserker who can get pretty nasty at higher levels. Another one was from exalted deeds namely Champion of Gwynharwyf also had some interesting abilities and stuff. However that's all we came up with (we didn't have books to refer to). I'm pretty sure however that there are 3-4 more options out there just not in Complete Warrior... Also as you may have noticed we're looking mostly at prestige classes since it gives some more "character" and direction to the character. The base will probably be something that fits the prestige prerequisites.

feral barbarian/ranger/stoneblessed/deepwarden/fist of the forest/primeval/warshaper

a combination of some or all of the above!

I'm sorry to tell you but most classes you proposed do not match some of the criteria stated in the Tl:DR... Deepwarder=dwarf race. Stoneblessed=almost become a race of stone. Ranger/fist of the forest/feral barb/warshaper not really in the martial fighter style (not martial arts). Primeval seems interesting...

Random thoughts:

1) Battle Sorcerer class (Unearthed Arcana or SRD) will get you the ability to cast Enlarge on yourself. (Or you can use potions or other magic to get that size buff.)

In addition, you can use Arcane Strike to burn spell slots for additional damage. Downside: unless you take Battle Caster feat, the best armor you can wear (and still cast, no ASF for Arcane Strike or Stilled spells) is light. With BC, you'd be able to wear Mithril Plate (medium armor).

2) Most optimizers won't use 'em, but I've had a great deal of fun using Oversized Weapons (via Monkey Grip or Powerful Build) and weapons made of magically tempered Gold or Platinum (special materials & required Heavy Weapon feat from Magic of Faerun).

3) Barbarians are usually the top 2Hd weapon users for damage output.

4) Shou Disciple (Unapproachable East) is a monk-like PrCl open to any PC meeting the prereqs- it grants armored Flurry of Blows with a broad array of weapons. Again, not an optimizer's thing, but fun.

5) IME, high-Dex PCs with high-damage reach weapons (like the Greatspear) and built to take advantage of AoOs can have a DPR similar to Barbarians in combats in which they can reasonably force AoOs.

Pure RP restriction, nothing to do with game balance. Adapt the PrC to suit your deity, and clear with your DM, who hopefully won't give you crap about it.

If Ordained Champion is out, just go straight Cleric. Good enough for melee brute any day of the week!
