If WOTC gave us a preview from MM1...?

This thread got me thinking...

If WOTC were to be generous with a new years gift and suprise us with a write up from the Monster Manual I, similar to what they did with the elf, what would you like to see?

I imagine it would be something iconic but not too common to avoid giving away the farm. Something like a displacer beast. But I would REALLY like to see a mind flayer.

What would you like to see, and what would you guess they would show us (likely two different answers...)?

No, I despised it. I'm not even sure despised is a sufficient enough word.
And that is exactly why I fear ole Rusty won't be as good as she used to be.
