I'll give XP to those who earn it!

What gives?!?!

Apparent grognard that I am, I believe in giving XP to the people who earned it! In light of recent PR-debacles, there's been some durn fine posting to be read. What's this Commie "spread the XP around" crap?

I didn't kill Strahd twice, plunder the Lost City, destroy the Gauntlet, and save Saltmarsh THREE TIMES, and barely survive the Tomb of Horrors to have some Inter-web nonsense tell me who I can or can't give XP to!

Adventurers these days. Bunch o' pansies.

To those who've received XP from me in the last few days, chances are I wish I could have given you more!

...now where's my cane?

I gotch your cane. Right over by here. :D

Ah, but there are so many uses for canes. Baseball bat, cricket bat, tent stake, and a lever. Say, what can you do with a long enough lever.....?

SPOILER!

How many XP is an Azgulor worth?

(...whistling while sharpening my bastard sword...);)

Well, I don't want to brag but I'm 16th level!

According to my wife I think the breakdown is something like DonJuan3/Driver3/PackMule3/Pain-in-the-As_-(I mean rear)7

I thought I hand more levels in PitA and was 20th level, but she constantly reminds me there's room for improvement... :hmm:

Personally, I think I just keep getting levels drained when I have to visit the in-laws. :erm:

You have a cane? Luxury. We used to have to get out of the lake at six o'clock in the morning, clean the lake, eat a handful of hot gravel, work twenty hour day at mill for tuppence a month, come home, and Dad would thrash us to sleep with a broken bottle, if we were lucky!

Youngsters. When I first played D&D, we didn't have any fancy polyhedral dice, we used chits and we liked them.

And character sheets. Ha! We wrote everything on ragged edged paper we tore out of note books and we liked it.

We didn't have hardbound rulebooks and .pdfs. We were lucky to have a single boxed set and we liked it.
