Doesn't the FBI involve itself in crimes of this nature? There has to be SOME kind of Government agency that oversees this as eBay is an American company. You should be able to report both the seller and eBay if they don't take action.

I have a hundred better things to do, but yet I still went and emailed the guy.

He just responded with this:

"I am currently working with those publishers who have contacted me with respect to protect their work, However some hostile people who are less understanding of my story are I belive attacking my computer and are making it dificult to eve respond to emails. I was unaware of a lot before posting these things."

Aw, who's attacking his lil compooter? :D

And by the way Phil's idea of bidding a gazillion dollars is kick ass. Let's all go shopping.

This would be his 255th sale and a large chunk of it seems to be ripped PDFs. I have difficulty believing this is his first time with these issues.

And how is anyone attacking his computer? Don't you have to go through e-bay to email him?

my constant goading made him stupid enough to email me with his actual home email address, including his real name: Michael Jacobs, mlj1323@yahoo.com

Feel free to forward that information to whatever parties might be interested. My work here is done.

aaaaaaand, it seems Mr Rocket Scientist listed his location as Columbus, Georgia, USA.

How about that?

edit: Wystan owned me in the previous post.

Wow you go through this seller's history and htis guy has made 5k selling illegal material. Looks like an FBI trip is on the way.

Phil, why don't you contact some of the others who have books on there? Jason Parent (Hellhound) @ Natural 20/EN Publishing, Clark @ Necromancer (he's a lawyer, I believe), Chris Pramas @ Green Ronin, Joseph Goodman @ Goodman games, etc. Monte might even be interested, as a few of his WotC books are on the list.

Patrick Lawinger popped on earlier in this thread so Necromancer Games is already aware.
