Hey there! :)

Well there is a lot of hebrew where necessary. Tracing back angels (and devils) leads you to the hebrew origins. So thats why those beings use the hebrew names. I did also use the word Nehaschimic for a class of dragons and two of the Abomination names are hebrew in origin.

Its possible that for 4E I may swop the names around. Have the common name as the primary name and the esoteric name as the secondary name. Although I am just wondering if that may be a tad goofy in some places.

Silent One
Anakim

Mighty One
Gibborim

Shadow-lich
Akalich

Well, Gibborim is mighty ones all right, but the rest... Well, Anakim means giants, at least in the modern language (The ending IM is plural male, BTW). Can't find anything for the akalich.

Has anyone seen Cloverfield? Clover...is...definitely...EPIC!!! =^.^=

For those who haven't seen it...

Clover is the monster.

I saw this in the cinema and I will probably get the dvd for the extra scenes. I have notes for the Clover Monster (both 3rd and 4th Edition) I'll have to copy them up to the website for you guys.

I'm guesstimating about CR 75 for the 3rd Edition version, while the 4th Edition version is a Level 35 Solo Brute...though I am having a bit of jip with the Ability Score determination so I probably need the 4E Monster Manual before I should go public with the latter.

Lucky ******* I didn't get to see it in cinema. Though I would have loved that. Some people have all the luck. I didn't even hear about it until recently. Fortunately I have a rather large TV with surround sound.

The disorientation effect bordered on annoying. I'm more interested in getting the dvd with the extended monster scenes (including the feeding tubes on Clover).

I won't ask how you got to see it Captain Jack Sparrow. ;)

Fortunately I have a rather large TV with surround sound.

Been thinking about getting one of those for the upstairs room here.

My apologies if this has been asked before, but how exactly does Vicissitude work? Does my goddess lose her divinity while in her alter-ego? What action does she need to alternate between the two?

Thanks.

Hey there beej! :)

No apologies necessary, ask away. :)

Vicissitude is a sort of staple superhero element that I thought would work well for immortal games. Imagine the Hulk is the immortal and Dr. Bruce Banner is his alter-ego.

I also see Vicissitude as a great way of dodging even the most powerful scrying.

Yes. Although the alter-ego could eventually have its own divinity I suppose.

Swift Action.

Happy to help!

Cool.

I'm conceptualizing a nymph demigoddess . :D When seriously threatened by a power she cannot defeat, she changes into a teenage girl. She then forgets who she is, and wanders around as an orphaned commoner. She becomes undetectable, recognizable only through her clerics (and even then through mighty divination magic).

I think Vicissitude is the perfect ability for this. But I just realized that it has requirements she couldn't meet. :( (She's currently a Nymph Demi-Deity Druid3/Sor4/Arcane Hierophant17) I need at least 37 HD to even consider 40 ranks in a skill, and Disguise isn't a class skill for any of her classes even if I raise the HD.

So, the choice is to either alter her build (Bard instead of sorcerer), or raise her to 77HD (which is weird), or to ignore the requirements of Vicissitude (which feels... wrong). Any thoughts?

Thanks again for the help, and I'll try to post her stats when I'm finally done with her. :)
