Initiative order & multiple attacks.

You are laboring under a misconception. Everyone operates within the same six seconds, but, for convenience, sanity and to work well with the rest of the rules, you take all your actions (except "Immediate Actions") during your turn within the round.

Actually, if you have not yet read the rules (or perhaps purchased them), I suggest you wait and start in D&D agaion with 4e rules.

In 3.5 you'll find that you have to do endless tweaking if you proceed as you propose.

I'll second that idea. From what I have heard, 4E removes iterative attacks so everyone only gets 1 attack each round. Since this is sort of what you want to achieve anyway perhaps it is best for you to just wait until the 4E rules come out in the middle of the year.

Waiting to play D&D? Sacrilege!!!

Who here would be willing to wait 4 months to game, when you could do so now?

Insanity, I tell you. Pure insanity.

I agree. Besides, why wait for 4th Edition? Start now with 3.5, and when the 4th Edition comes out you can do what most of us will do - look at the rules, discover they suck and that the whole system is designed to compete with online gaming, complain it'll destroy the game as we know it, continue to play 3.5 and send WoTC out of business.

What? :]
