Combat!
As the party enters the cave, the air suddenly shimmers, revealing a huge, horrid creature composed of wispy flesh. Its maw opens and it snaps at the emissary, ripping out a portion of her body and sending her form tumbling. She smashes into a bone pile and lies very still.
The creature's gaze is terrible to behold!
OOC: Initiative: Silhouette, Vedak, Rose, Snargle, Kelteror, Drax, Kaelvorr, minions.
Feel free to make your own rolls at Invisible Castle to speed things up. Also, you may post earlier than your turn, but be aware that aside from talking, nothing will be resolved until your turn comes up. Mechanically, this is the first round of combat, meaning that you are flat-footed until your turn (pertinent for those with immediate actions.)
Spot checks, see invisible, and caster level checks were all necessary to detect this thing. Unfortunately (or fortunately), the caster level checks weren't kind to the party, with the exception of one for detect magic.
The monster is visible now, which means everyone gets to make Fort saves against its gaze attack [Death, Mind-aff.] Undead, constructs, and those immune to death or mental attacks are immune. If you're immune, post a little note reminding us that you're immune or work it into your round.

If you're shutting or averting your eyes (which will protect you starting next round,) post something to that effect.
Also, it wouldn't hurt to list your active buffs when you post
