The emissary holds Silhouette up as the latter coughs weakly. "Hit your head on something hard, did we? Why don't you rest and take it easy for a bit?"

Silhouette only -
[sblock]Up this close, you notice that the dark ichor that seeped from her wounds has a faint, sickly sweet smell.

For whatever reason, Yaminosha seems to want to downplay or gloss over the fact that you died and came back. Guessing from her demeanor and words, she expects you to play along with this, at least in front of others.[/sblock]

Snargle -

Kaelvorr makes a sound that from its alien physiogomy might be a dismissive snort. "Snargle, I will require my phylactery back. I may be able to determine the function of the ring as well. But for the wand, I would need an appropriate target to test it. Any volunteers?"

Before moving on, Kaelvorr takes a few moments to retrieve its minion, admonishing it to stay well to the rear of the group.

Silhouette nods, propping herself up on the wall.

"What a horror," she says fervently. "Even with my protections, it was able to knock me out. If I'd been alone..."

She shakes her head slowly.

"Give me a moment to recover."

She inventories her magics, trying to determine how much of her spellpower is intact from her experience.

The emissary peers over at the mention of the term "phylactery," but says nothing until Kaelvorr finishes.

"Never a bard when you need one, eh? Do you intend to use that in a coming battle?"

Snargle begins to sniff the dead minions, considering the edible nature of their flesh but cocks his head quizzically to the side at Kaelvorr's statement "Fylaktery?"

Kaelvorr notes the emissary's interest but, tries to show no sign of it, instead responding to the troll with a slight edge of testiness, "Yes, the necklace I lent you. It cannot be activated again today but I do want it back. And I might as well test the ring while I'm at it. Since no one has volunteered regarding the wand, we can save that to test on a kobold prisoner, once one becomes available."

"One use. Snargle will save for small holes then. Not take it off after. How long necklace work?"

Mindful of the fate of his fellows, Kaelvorr's remaining kaorti minion moves eagerly to do his leader's bidding, dropping back to stand the rear of the party.

"Incidentally," says the emissary after a moment, "I found this while I was picking my way out of that bone heap I was tossed into. Perhaps one of you would find it of interest?"

Continuing to support Silhouette with one hand, she holds out a manual with the other. It appears to be the ledger of one of the deceased adventurers that came before.

"Oh goody-goody," Rose mutters under his breath. Without waiting, the dervish begins to stalk further inward in whatever direction is closest.
[sblock=OOC]I might have missed it, but I don't recall whether we've reached any split in the path yet.[/sblock]
