Invasion of Mori - IC [3.5][CE/NE][planar]

Gargoyle Round 6 Action

His group has retreated. Do they know something that he does not? It matters little. He will continue to do what must be done and let fate determine the rest. At the end it will be either this walking piece of metal or him that walks away.

OOC: Did any of his last round attacks hit? Also what is the total combined bonus for the group anyway?

Full attack on the Golem (HP: 106/112, AC 41, Fort +17, Ref +15, Will +11)
Attacks 3x: (1d20 +19, 1d20+19, 1d20+14) Attacks do no include bard song, haste or flanking bonuses.
Damages (3d6+14, 3d6+14, 3d6+14)

OOC: Round 5 isn't resolved; that's just the first half. You can post early but I can't resolve it until you actually turn up in the initiative order, unless your action is locked in and doesn't really affect anything (i.e. Rose fleeing.) So what you just posted would be Round 6, but we aren't done with Round 5 yet because not everyone has posted.

I have not shown your Round 5 attacks because they haven't happened yet.

Thanks for your patience.

Gabriel will point another finger at the stilled worm and smile, cursing him viciously. If the worm's mind is as weak as his body, he will soon be held in a horrific vision of unending fear!

OOC: Casting curse of the putrid husk [BoVD], Will save DC 21.

Round 5, Second Half

The gargoyle presses the golem with a full attack, and it finally begins to show signs of wear.

As Snargle dashes past the diplomat and two kobolds in the passage outside, she notices him fleeing and lets go of the kobold to follow him.

Aldred directs his spectral hand to heal Rose (130 hp.)

The worm does not move or respond, even as Gabriel casts another spell at it.

Initiative order:
kaelvorr
silhouette
kelteror
snargle
worm
golem
aldred
gabriel
gargoyle
rose

OOC: Apologies for the delay, couldn't get BoVD spell details for quite some time.

Seeing Snargle rush past her in panic, Silhouette pivots and casts a spell down the passage the troll is fleeing along. Deep, dark mists rise from the floor, swirling ominously in loops and whorls as it extends up to the ceiling and shrouds all beyond it from sight!

(Casting Solid Fog in front of Snargle so he can't run off too far, or get into more trouble :))

End of Combat

The tall, cloaked form of Kelteror reappears in the room. He wastes no time in bringing his glaive to bear on the immobile Worm, taking a deep bite out of its side and sending vermin flying.

Silhouette and the diplomat chase down Snargle and manage to remove his fear. Reversing his earlier path, the troll races back to join the gargoyle, who has been trading blows with the golem, wearing it down. Though the toughness of the two melee bruisers - natural and artificial - is almost an even match, the addition of the adamantine-armed troll tips the scales decidedly in the party's favor. The diplomat next purges Rose of his fear, and soon the golem is nothing more than scrap metal.

Thousands of scorched and frozen vermin lie about the chamber, remnants from the mage and Kelteror's vented wrath.

"A foul trick, trapping me as I teleported," says the babau. "Despite that, we seem to have been more than enough to deal with his kind of petty traps."

OOC: Post reactions, and if there's anything you want to do before the party teleports back, do it.

Silhouette glides silently into the room towards the place where the vermin-mage finally fell. She steps on a few scurrying beetles with a scowl of distaste, then invokes a spell. With eyes opened by magic, she examines the pile of possessions the Worm left behind, as well as the altar and the large symbol.

(Detect Magic. Will set aside whatever has an aura from the rest.)

Snargle sifts through the remains of the smashed statue, the numerous grievous wounds he took from the statue healing rapidly "Don't these things have gem hearts or something?" he snarls in frustration as nothing valuable jumps out at him immediately.

The large stone like creature sheaths his great sword and does what he can to help the looting of the bodies. Taking anything that would of vaule or interest to him.
