D&D 5E Ironfang Invasion (IC)

OOC: We already got the herb; we're on our way back to camp. We're about ten minutes away, in a spot where Harb and Corsa were going to wait with Edran while everyone else went back to fetch Aubrin.

Maybe just slice up what you guys can carry, take it with, and then more can come back later after the Molthuni situation is dealth with?

OOC: Huh. I missed the part where we got the herb. Let's just carve her up and carry as much as we can, then.

Loosh gets to work holding up huge chunks of flesh while someone with a sharp blade gets to slicing.

"Nice work, people," Flint says. "Good teamwork. And what a great way to show our Molthuni guest what we're capable of. He wouldn't dare provoke us now, would he?"

The dwarf looks pointedly at the stranger they encountered before the boar rushed in.

OOC: Cutting up the boar seems the best plan. Perhaps send one or two ahead with the herbs and to fetch Aubrin and perhaps a few more people to collect the meat?

"That hide... we should try to keep intact, it would make for a decent tent cover if anything else." Lal said, as he laid a hand upon the enormous beast, almost reverently. "Teleporting towers, unhobbed goblins, edible animals the size of a house... this is truly a wondrous place, despite our dangerous circumstances"

GM:

Yes herbs are gathered, and you are around a 15 minute walk or so from the camp, but the forest is very dense in front of you. If one of you wants to make a survival check to try to skin the boar in one piece you can. There are some hunters in the camp so if you do not want to attempt they might.

"You're right, Lal. The hide would be tremendously useful. Let's leave the skinning to the hunters."

OOC: lol, was going to agree with JustinCase and say one or two stealthy characters could go ahead...and then I rolled a 1 on stealth. Corsa is still happy to run crashing through the forest with whoever to get Aubrin and some hunters.

GM:

Yes the herb is gathered, the beast defeated, and now the question is do you skin the beast now or have a few people take the 15 minute walk to camp and bring back hunter/trappers to skin the beast. And what do you do with your fellow traveler?

"Look, I think it is best if we go get someone who actually knows how to skin this thing properly," Vin suggests. "It is too valuable a commodity to risk and we may as well take our friend here with you. Aubrin can work out what she wants him to do."
