D&D 5E Ironfang Invasion (IC)

"That would be good for us (and we could, perhaps finish burying these two) but it might mean the death of the man out there." says Loosh, and then considers, "Then again, if we estimate it will take us four hours to find him, I can't see how if he can survive that long, that five hours would do him in. While it could make all the difference for the rest of us."

"I can make short work of the burial, but a breather afterward would be a big deal," Giana says, shifting into the form of a giant badger.

OOC: Burrow 10'/round is quite useful for hole diggin.

GM:
The bodies are buried and it looks like most of the group wants to leave now, I’ll wait until tomorrow to set you on your way, in case anyone wants to make the case for staying the night to get a short rest benefit.

The party pushes on through the night heading in the direction of the body that Fluffy had seen. The night had grown dark and the forest had grown dense.

With around an hour or so hike to the body still remaining the party notices that this part of the forest has thicker than normal vines and underbrush.

GM:
It is around 2 am of Day 5, Week 1

Looking at the thick vines, Vin realises it is pointless for him to bother trying to work out what he wanted to know.

"Any botanists here who can tell if these are natural, undeady or rangery?" he asks flippantly.

Lal replies "I'm not from around here so I don't know... I can try to hack us a path, but that will make a lot of noise... Perhaps the Holy Woman has some insight?" He added, turning hopefully towards Giana

GM:
Within the web of vines hidden to all but the trained eye of Giana several Vine Blights, Giana can’t make out their exact location or number but she can sense that they are there, hiding in the vines.

"Bwah, just plants," Flint mumbles. "Covers all the beautiful stonework of the world."

The dwarf moves near the front of the group, making use of his vision to see by the little light there is, but he clearly has little understanding of surviving in the forest.
