Except that none of those locations are actually in Icewind Dale.

The Icewind Dale CRPG begins and ends in Icewind Dale, but the bulk of the action takes place in The Spine of the World.

The Heart of Winter expansion uses more actual Icewind Dale locations.

I did actually use all three of those locations in my last campaign.

The new Dark Alliance is set in Icewind Dale.

I think that is enough to turn "plausible" to "probable".

I'm pretty sure the announcement is for an adventure in a new setting, not an adventure and a new setting.

We have already got two setting books this year, I would consider a third incredibly unlikely.

Dark Sun isn't a new settng though. It's an old one.

For 5th Edition it would be new.
