Running my D&D on Saturday (it's going to get ugly ) and generally trying to recover from a week in which I've been stressed heavily, though not nearly as heavily as Queen D herself.

Well, it's Canadian Thanksgiving weekend this weekend. On the lameness scale, this holiday is pretty impressive. It officially honours the recovery of one of Queen Victoria's kids from a childhood illness.

Anyway, a friend from back home is coming to town to visit her family so I'm putting on a dinner party for her tomorrow night. Besides that, I'm at a busy time of year in my job so I'm marking papers and catching up on reading. I hope to catch a matinee of Serenity, though.

To answer my own question:

My friend Nico is in town (she's actually here visiting her boyfriend AIM 54, but when Nico visits, she and I always have a special date for just the two of us). Anyway!

She and I are heading into DC to have formal tea at The Jefferson Hotel. Fancy dresses, pretty purses, and scones baked while we wait! It's going to be an awesome afternoon!

Yanks playoff baseball today and tomorrow. Hopefully meeting my new D&D group on Saturday night. In between - recovering from one of my worst work-week's ever. In other words: Miller Time.
