Jazzed-up Mountain Dew in Canada!

Mountain Dew now has a new variety in Canada, Mountain Dew ENERGY!

You see, in Canada, non-brown sodas can't have caffeine in them. It's just been that way for ever. To get around this, a few companies started releasing Guarana drinks, which gets around it by being a natural source of caffeine.

Well, it looks like they finally changed the rules. Mountain Dew ENERGY! and Sugar Free Mountain Dew ENERGY! just hit shelves in my small town grocery store. Same caffeine content as diet Coke (54.5 mg / can), but tastes like Dew.

Now, of course, I -hate- Dew, but I know it's a staple of many RPG groups, and my wife loves the horrid green potion of speed.

What's really great stuff is caffinated water. It's not so good for gaming, but if you're outside in the hot weather, it's great stuff. Perfect for long rock festivals or vollyball tournoments.

How can you not like Dew?!?
Because it's vile. *shudders* I am not a fan, either. Yuck. Though, on occasion, I'll drink diet dew if it's the only think I have.

... Fresca, on the other hand, soda of the gods.

I've always been entertained by Canada's Caffeine restrictions. Do you know - did they change the laws? Or has Dew just found a clever way around it?

Hound though has the look of someone that would drink Dew by the gallon.

What the hell are you babbling about? Fresca sucks, there is a 12 pack that has been sitting in my kitchen floor for over 3 months because nobody will drink it.
I work in an office that employs almost 150 people... the company also provides free soda to the employees (totally rocks).

Fresca is *the* drink of choice. Definately the most popular soda amongst our ranks. Delicious, crisp, and calorie free.

Though I realize there are probably people out there that don't like it, there's no need to get huffy or short about it. The phrase "what the hell are you babbling about" - at least in my vocab - is reserved for statements of offense. However, I suppose you could be wildly offended by my (and my co-workers) love of Fresca, but I find that doubtable. ;)
