JLU season finale: "Epilogue"

While I definitely see Wayne as lonely and an old codger, I've never perceived him as particularly bitter. Difficult to deal with, sure; not much for maintaining friendships, absolutely. But utterly alone because he's so bitter, not at all.

I saw him being utterly alone cause he was utterly dedicated to his obsession of protecting Gotham and that he was bitter cause now he was to old to do it.

Teen Titans and The Justice League: Speaking of Teen Titans, will there ever be a cross-over with JL?

God I hope not...

Should there be?

No. :)

The Robin in TT is Dick Grayson. It was shown:
- that Robin grows up to become Nightwing;
- in a flashback, two trapeze artists falling to their deaths, and a boy in a cave swearing an oath before a candle;
- when Robin got himself a Mxyzptlc-like double, the double was named Kcid Nosyarg, which is Dick Grayson backwards (there is even text on screen saying so).

But Robin/Nightwing will not show up in JLU, because (and I quote the shows producers at ComicCon) "he's too busy with the Teen Titans".

Regarding Static Shock, he's Virgil Hawkins, a boy from the city of Dakota. While a gang war was raging at the docks, an accident (which the media called "Big Bang")with a mutagenic compound happened. Every single gang member there developed super-powers (as the show says, they became metahumans). Virgil gained electric powers and became Static Shock.

Ouch. That's too bad. I had always assumed that Robin was, um, Todd? Whoever the "new" Robin was, the one established in BTAS (in which, as Batman tells the new Robin the rules, Dick Grayson has a short cameo at the end as Nightwing). That Robin looks like the Robin in TT, and fits the age, and... well, you're obviously right, based on the evidence, but it really shouldn't be Dick Grayson.

Huh. I always assumed it was Tim Drake. Thanks for the info. :)

I saw Bruce as a tragic man, very much mortal, to be honest I think Batman Beyond is the show that got the Bruce Wayne/Batman aspect of the same man right.

The shows a classic, as much as I enjoy JLA I hope that Batman Beyond makes it to DVD first. (in complete seasons or what not.)
Not complaining about the show itself (I liked it)

Just complaining that they got their chocolate in my peanut butter.

I always assumed it was tim drake too. More so because Tim Drake seems to be hte most independent Robin ever, which would fit in with the Teen Titans thing. I could see Tim being a leader, couldn't see Dick.

Which is funny, since Dick was one of the founding members of the Teen Titans.

The only way to make the TT series work within the DCAnimated world is to have it take place in the past, during the earlier seasons of Batman: tAS.

And TT's Robin costume, with its green pants, sleeves and gloves, is the same costume as the B:tAS's Robin I (Dick). In the animated DCU, Tim Drake (Robin II) had red-black-yellow costume, never green.

Also of note: When the Mxyzptl-Robin showed up (let's call him Larry, like the TT did), there was a whiteboard with theories of who Larry might be. One of the theories was "Jason Todd???". :)

Shouldn't that be Robin III since Jason Todd was Robin II?
