And doesn't such a picture reinforce gender stereotypes?
women can still cook, even in D&D, the point is they are not the only ones, see the baking male dwarf from the PHB

Just like was discussed here for pages, the goal is to have a variety of art instead of stereotyping

Now, to be fair, when I was gaming at the FLGS in early 90's, LARPing was already pretty well established. Remember, Vampire was so big that it managed to actually get a season on prime time network TV. Something D&D has yet to manage.
Vampire was also featured on an episode of Real Stories of the Highway Patrol. RSHP was a show in the vein of Cops, with cameras following the state police around while they did what they do. The cops pulled a kid (he was over 18) over, found one of those cheesy survival knives in his car, and after they arrested for him found a copy of Vampire. They questioned him about it and the narrator made reference to it like it was some dangrous occult book. Vampire remains the only TTRPG other than D&D that gained any traction in mainstream media circles here in the United States.

I did think it was pretty impressive to tone police someone for responding to a post that is publicly called out as violating board policies all the while not calling out the original post at all. 🤷
Not to speak for the mods, but a similar post about this sort of topic was shut down because of well-intended sealioning.

I think the mod post was to the effect, “this isn’t Gotham City, you’re not Batman, and the mods aren’t Commissioner Gordon needing help from the community.”

While it sounded a bit snarky, the point is pretty good. Self righteousness, even when agreed with is annoying.

I am not sure what you are talking about… the post I responded to was called out, not the one it was a response to
I meant that you were being tone policed. You were being told to be polite after responding to a post that was red flagged, yet the original, red flagged post passed by without commentary.

I'm sorry, but, how is this:

the fact that he kept doubling down and continuing to do so even after it was pointed out repeatedly?

or the only one consistent with the facts…
even remotely self righteous?

yeah, got confused about what you meant, mostly because I missed who was responding, I thought it was Ulorian

Mod Note:

Y’all, let’s dial back the snark, tone policing, sea lioning and other less-than-stellar behavior of various kinds. I’ve just gotten home after driving around small town Texas all day, and I’m a tad grumpy.

I was referring to the mod post on another thread that was closed with that verbiage.

I really haven’t been following whatever it is y’all are arguing about. It wasn’t directed towards anyone, just that there isn’t any reason “to take matters into your own hands” so to speak.
