I'm not particularly 'in the know' but the basic reason is Mysteros' author, James Mishler (sp?) pulled out of the project for personal reasons. As I understand the work was largely completed and Kenzer intends to go through with it. There's a bit more on that at the Kenzer Hackmaster boards
