most of that does not happen in the threads, some of it yes, but your list is way longer than what shows up in every threadDoes that all happen because people are largely judging WoTC on the quality of their products and nothing else?

People are clever and can think about more than one thing. Otherwise, why are you posting about this and not about climate change? Or why are climate change people posting about that and not about a war? Let's not start going down the road of telling people not to talk about things because there are other things, eh? Otherwise, why are any of us talking about D&D, when there are more important subjects? Also, basic internet mean-girling doesn't really compare to hiring mercenaries and threatening an entire industry.
Why aren't people as concerned about this 9 mil as they are about this howitzer?
I'm glad they issued the apology, but kind of wished they shared their reasoning for being nasty in the first place.I think when companies listen to their customers, it's a good thing. So it would be great (since the thread is active, and people will keep reading the first comment) to have an update at the end with the current state of affairs.
Is that why every threat about WoTC has people reminding us that a WoTC manager called his personal contact at the Pinkertons that one time?
And the OGL thing almost happened?
And that WoTC fires people?
And that that one artist used AI to create concept art for their piece in the Giant's book?
Oh, and they said that DnD wasn't monetized as much as they wanted in that one shareholder meeting. Does that all happen because people are largely judging WoTC on the quality of their products and nothing else?
I find it kind of strange that you have spent so much of this thread telling people they shouldn't judge Kobold Press for their corporate actions, yet I have never once seen you say the same thing about WoTC being judged for theirs.

Or ... it's just like every other major corporation. I don't trust them, they are far from saintly, but they're no worse than other companies.
people frequently defend those actions, maybe they do not say 'focus on the product' too...And again, no one really steps forward to say "Hey, we should judge WotC on their products, not their corporate actions"
eh, much criticism is directed at the product itself. That some people do not like something about WotC is ok, they do not slam the product because it is from WotC, they slam WotC in a thread discussing a WotC productlike Micah has repeatedly called for in this instance when people express the desire to not support Kobold press anymore.
