SR 13 is about 25% protection right now and will only go down from now on. Not irrelevant by a long shot, but not game-breaking either. And it makes you harder to heal (Akos is only level 6 caster, I need practiced spellcaster feat at some point?)

Rockhorn will take (if everyone agrees) blowpipe, darts and poisons (Knightfall, are poisons considered automatically evil?) - Wild dwarves have racial poison use and racial poison) - I mean, if poisons are evil we should probably just destroy them or give them over to authorities for cash

I mean, poison is used for all kinds of things including pest control. I wouldn’t say it’s inherently evil but it’s probably ‘restricted’

It’ll affect alignment. Falen got away with it because it was against evil opponent using poison themselves. But I suspect there is a limit to this before atonement. I’ve sort of built that into Falen’s backstory. I figure that Knightfall will limit that.

Ok, so my thoughts on taking an item:
Most of the stuff at the top of the list is unusable for me(slot-wise and proficiency-wise) so My instinct is to go for the 'Big Bucks' and just grab something expensive I can trade(+3 Slick Chain Shirt of Spell resistance**) but I think, IC, my choice represents The Exemplars or the city giving Vitus something as a 'thank-you' after the battle. Or maybe from Vinccencio (sp?)

I am, therefore going to go with something a bit less expensive. I really need to boost resistances so I will take the Cloak of Protection +1. I'm going to be a bit greedy and take the one that's listed with a selling price of 3600gp. Is that a mistake??? Is it fancy or something?

**Technically, the Chain Shirt is an upgrade to my glamoured +1 mithral chain mail(+1 AC, SR and Slick are all super useful) but the whole 'vision' of this character was to be a 'travelling monk' and I really want Glamoured Armour..... oh...but glamoured is just an extra 2700gp....
Could I get that added on to a set of armour???

Ok. Now I'm not sure what to do and could really use some guidance. I guess the biggest thing is: would anyone give Vitus the armour for his service. If not, I'll take the cloak.
There are multiple cloaks. The sell price is for all the combined cloaks in one price. I never got around to making a column for individual sell prices.

If you really want the armor, take it, you can add glamered later.
Yes, the armour can be upgraded at a later time.

Yea true but elven chain mail is way cooler than a regular chain shirt. And besides, his armour was a gift from his mom. It’s the SR that is really making me waffle. Seems pretty potent from a purely metagame perspective and not an IC perspective.
Falen would need to provide 1,350 gp (half of the glamered cost) and 108 XP at the beginning of the upgrade process. It would take 3 days (1,000 gp/per day). As I noted to T.H., there is a armourer and weaponsmith named Sinclair Smith in the district of New City who is known for crafting magical arms and armour.

Let me know which option you choose. Armour or cloak.

I'm fine with it. But, you're going to choose them one at a time. I'm okay with you taking the blowgun and darts bundled together as one choice, but the vials must be selected separately, especially the vial of deathblade.

I don't think poisons are automatically evil. However, how poisons are used is another matter.

That a good way of looking at it.

Commander Oakfirst would probably trust Rockhorn more with the poisons than he would trust Falen or Tuck. Rochhorn is a Bluffside Mountain Ranger. Poisons are something he has experience with using as a ranger and as a wild dwarf.

It’ll affect alignment. Falen got away with it because it was against evil opponent using poison themselves. But I suspect there is a limit to this before atonement. I’ve sort of built that into Falen’s backstory. I figure that Knightfall will limit that.
A paladin wouldn't use poison. It would be a code of conduct concern. Less so for characters without such restrictions. It's more about how poison is used. If it is used in combat against a dangerous monster, it wouldn't be considered an evil act. And, yes, since Falen used it against the Loyalists who were using poison against the PCs and guards, it wasn't considered an evil act.

Now, Rockhorn used it to kill an enemy (or rival) who wasn't threatening anyone with violence, that would be an evil act. Probably. Using it against Phelix

It is a grey area.

Note that the Poison spell does not have the EVIL descriptor, although it is a Necromacy spell.

Anyway, time for lunch.
