Kulan: Knightfall's Crisis in Bluffside Game [OOC]

MetaVoid picks a ring of protection +1 to be modified for Spritewing. He previous picked a ring of protection +2 that I thought was going to be modified for Spritewing, but it might have been meant for Rockhorn. (I'm not completely sure.)

He also wants the Vial of Deathblade poison, so if it turns out that the +2 ring was picked for Spritewing, then he will take the poison instead.

He is specifically picking items to sell so Tim can buy a Tome of Leadership and Influence (+2).
I understand why he's doing it, but the same effect could be accomplished by just receiving money from all the unclaimed items. That's it. That way we could focus more on the items we want and less on the value of items. That's why I took katar of wounding - it could have been 1 round of picking less.

My next pick will be 5 cold iron daggers, story reasons, I'd take +1 leather armor otherwise.

Unrelated question: are you allowing tomes to stack? If I buy tome of leadership +2, can I later buy upgrade to +4 or is it separate purchase for full price (i.e. if I want +5, I have to save for +5 without going through partial stat tomes)

Ring +2 is for Rockhorn, +1 for Spritewing, poisons are next - other items are mostly useless to me except as a cash source.

@Neurotic RAW, Tomes don't stack, they overlap. So if you start with 10 in a given stat, a +2 tome will give you 12, and after that, a +3 tome would put you to 13 (3 over your original base) not 15.

That being said, Rob might have different ideas about it. @Knightfall care to comment? 😃

Yes, I know RAW. I also know people(well, DMs :p ) who allow progressive cost like with upgrading weapon from +1 to +2

In my games it was allowed, fluff being the cost representing ever harder training rather than inherent cost of the tome. BUT. you had to have downtime

We need to actually discuss the rituals for Akos - in this game we had similar thing about redeeming items, but due to time constraints we just destroyed them here
Ah, yes, I remember that now.

We'll figure it out.

Guys, FYI, I have cleaning and laundry to do before going to physio later on this afternoon.

I would say, dispel evil and/or dispel magic would be a given.

<snip>

100 XP per caster level of the item.
This will work for the one profane item captured and the magical cold iron sword.

For the cold iron masterwork items, the process would probably be similar. XP based off of the items GP market value, maybe?

Done.

I'd prefer to stick to the RAW.
