The wagons had arrived inside Axianess low wall several days ago meant for people who had labored on the inner citys high wall and made the river bed deeper by digging to keep flood waters out. A large central tent and several satelite tents in subdued tmourning colors were just finishing putiing them up. Mordren is yelling orders to the tent workers. Garth and Deina were spell dueling to keep in shape as the proclaimed master wizards of the circus. Over by Camilles wagon her apprentices juggles dagger that she throws while whittling a piece of wood. Agnes is feeding a southern constrictor field mice while whispering to it and rubbing it's head. Lucciano Travels around the circus and the wagons frowning with his two novices by his side. Mikal challenges a human to swallow just as many swords as he can . Christine directs her minstrels to practice but is drowned out by the crowd gathered around the sword swallowers her face contorts with controled rage and she directs them to a higher note. Darren is outside his gambling tent eyeing a contrapiton being pulled by oxes a device know as a gnomish slot machine

Early in the day, the giant mintoaur thrills the crowd with an extended display of fire eating, culminating in an amazing gout of green flame sprayed from deep in his belly. He lears out at the townsfolk and bellows and roars to the frightened delight of the passers-bye, while wearing a set of mock chains to make him look like some sort of captive beast. His lovely assistants warn the crowd to stay out of arms reach less they be eaten alive by the monster, as they giggle and flirt with all who pause long enough to have themselves a look.

Later Ukertan busies himself with preparation for the nights performance. Brushing his dark fur to a glossy shine getting help from his stage assistants for his widely mucsled back. Oiling his elaborate stage weapons and making sure they have no edges to speak of, the outlandish axes and swords gleam with deadly thirst.

"Children..." Elrind grumbles to himself. "Why does there always have to be children? And why do they find these party trick illusions so fascinating? Simple minded..."

Elrind is leaning haughtily against a large support in one of the main tents, hoping to avoid notice. As long as Garth and Deina are occupied, they shouldn't notice that he's trying to hide away. As people walk through the tents, Elrind isn't sure, but thinks he sees a child walking around just outside the tent.

Sighing, he wonders what trick he'll do if the child finds him. He decides he'll go with making a shiny silver peice "dissapear" and tell the kid to go look for it in another tent.

Elrind listens intently for the dueling master mages to stop, knowing that then he'll have to start entertaining again or risk getting caught slacking.

Malin, the tiefling ringleader, is having a horrible day. Billee the monkey stole his top hat and he's spent the last fifteen minutes in its cage fighting with it to get it back without success.

Furious, dirty and sweaty from the effort, he whips out his wand and prepares to spank the monkey...

Malin hears a shrill old voice, the voice belongs to an old woman in beast master clothes she carries a pointy walking stick in her right hand "if you do that demonspawn Your horns will be relocated to your backside and ears will be wornout from all the chewing as Maitre des Animaux I have the right to beat you senseless if you so much as lay a finger on that monkey without my premission tu comprend "

Galindann had spent the morning patrolling the outskirts of the circus compound alternating between keeping curious locals from wandering into dangerous areas (usualy youngsters who we redirected to Eldrin) and giving short impromptu displays with Sharessa to ammuse the locals (nothings as complicated as the show they would be putting on in the ring) amazing them with feats of daring and teamwork between Eladrin and beast.

As he rounded a tent heading to towards the beast compound, he grinned as he heard Agnes berating some poor fool. "Come Sharessa, let us go talk to the Maitre des Animaux about the new piece we have been working on for our act."

Jimmy was standing in his stand. That was the most annoying part of the job. During the day, he had to invite people to aim at the target to see Kyle fall in the water if there aim was true. The target was small, and the ball was unbalanced, giving it an unpredictable path if you didn't knew how to grab it and give the right spin. It took Jimmy a week of practice to aim with that ball as easily as he throw his dagger. At least, he wasn't in Kyle's seat.

"Come, young men, show your lady how well you can aim. One ball for two copper. Three ball for five, so you can prove her it wasn't a lucky shot the first time. See Lolo the clown fall in the water on your success."

He looked behind, and he saw Kyle making the clown and throwing taunt at the crowd... he was more convincing them him thought Jimmy. And many people was buying a ball just to shut his mouth, but today, both had a hard time it seems, as no one had bought a ball for the last half an hour.

"ah Master Galindann escort this man to where Christine has arrayed her musicans I am sure she will want to know why he his late for practice they are just passed the dunking booth you know comeback later and we can talk about tomorrows show "She then throws Malin towards Galindann and goes back to console the monkey which looks likelit has just been abused.Lucciano arrives at the dunking booth "you see this was created by another sin he tells the novices this device once tested if people had arcane knowledge if they did they would float if they didn't they would then sink to the bottom".He then begins to stare a jimmy frowning after a while he begins hiw usual speech about how the circus is evil and a gateway for sin which draws a crowd a passerby to kyles right whispers if he was in there everyone would be lined up.

Elrind you just happen to be passing by when you see the priest on his tangent

"Malin, your hat is looking a little worse for wear" Galindann noted as he lead the way to the dunking booth and Christine. "I hope Christine will be less forgiving of your state than Agnes was of your treatment of Billie"

Noticing a small crowd gathering by the dunking booth his smile broadend "Hey, looks like Kyle might be having a worse day than you"
